To every Ambazonian refugee, wherever you may be: protect your future. Protect your family. Protect your dreams. Do not die in someone else’s war. Ambazonia will need you alive.

Across Africa, a disturbing trend is emerging. Young men seeking employment, education, and a better future are increasingly being recruited into foreign conflicts under promises of lucrative jobs, security work, scholarships, or opportunities abroad. Many discover too late that they have been deceived and find themselves on battlefields far from home, fighting wars that are not their own.
For Ambazonian refugees and displaced persons scattered across Nigeria, Africa, Europe, and beyond, this danger is particularly acute. After nearly a decade of conflict, thousands of Ambazonians continue to face economic hardship. Families have been separated. Communities have been uprooted. Young people who should be attending universities, building businesses, and preparing for leadership roles often find themselves struggling simply to survive.
It is precisely during such moments of vulnerability that unscrupulous recruiters thrive. They promise employment. They promise security work. They promise educational opportunities. They promise pathways to prosperity. Yet behind many of these promises lies exploitation, deception, and in some cases, death. No Ambazonian refugee should allow desperation to become a weapon used against them.
The future of Ambazonia will not be built in foreign trenches. It will not be secured by sacrificing our youth in conflicts that have no connection to our national aspirations. Our struggle is for freedom, dignity, justice, and self-determination. Every young Ambazonian who survives, acquires skills, gains an education, establishes a business, or supports a family contributes more to our national future than any foreign military contract could ever offer.
The Ambazonian community urges all refugees, asylum seekers, and members of the diaspora to exercise extreme caution when approached with offers of overseas employment, military-related work, private security contracts, or educational programs that appear too good to be true.
Before accepting any offer: Verify the identity of the employer. Confirm the legitimacy of the contract through official channels. Never surrender your passport or personal documents. Seek advice from trusted community leaders, lawyers, or recognized refugee organizations. Ensure all contracts are provided in a language you fully understand. Inform family members and maintain regular communication regarding your whereabouts.
The Ambazonian people have already paid a tremendous price in blood and sacrifice. Too many lives have been lost defending our communities and preserving our identity. We cannot afford to lose another generation to the battlefields of foreign powers. Our youth are not expendable. They are the engineers, teachers, doctors, entrepreneurs, scientists, diplomats, and future leaders who will one day rebuild our nation.
The greatest contribution any Ambazonian refugee can make today is to remain alive, acquire knowledge, develop skills, strengthen families, and prepare for the day when the rebuilding of our homeland begins in earnest. History will judge nations not by how many of their young people died in foreign wars, but by how many returned home to build prosperity, freedom, and hope for future generations.
To every Ambazonian refugee, wherever you may be: protect your future. Protect your family. Protect your dreams. Do not die in someone else’s war. Ambazonia will need you alive.
