Letter to the Editor
Sir,
With due respect, I must state plainly that the message from my comrade is misleading and unhelpful. For years now, certain individuals—Mancho, Ayuk, Abdulkarim, and others—have placed their hopes in Maurice Kamto, all the while undermining the legitimate Southern Cameroons Government in exile and fighting against President Dr. Samuel Ikome Sako, who, despite the odds, managed to secure the Swiss Talks initiative.
These same actors went further, sponsoring disgraced former county chairs to embezzle draft funds and encouraging Chris Anu to lead a coup in 2021 at a time when La République du Cameroun was bleeding heavily. Together with their South African cabal and the ADF, they worked tirelessly to sabotage both the Government in exile and our self-defense forces.
I have always warned Southern Cameroonians: La République du Cameroun uses people and then discards them. Today, where are these same individuals with their Kamto alliance? What did their gamble yield? Trusting in LRC remains a dangerous illusion.
The truth is clear. What Dr. Sako and the Southern Cameroons Government in exile are doing represents the only nightmare for LRC and the only real hope for a free Southern Cameroons. This is the government that all Ambazonians must rally behind. Ego must be set aside, because our survival depends on unity.
Stop placing faith in those who, consciously or unconsciously, have been infiltrated by LRC. The time has come to acknowledge, support, and strengthen the only government that truly carries the mandate of our people.
