True unity will require humility from all — government officials, civic leaders, and diaspora organizations alike. The cause belongs to all, but it must be coordinated by the constitutional authority chosen by the people.

Subject: The Ambazonia Working Group’s “Unity Initiative” — Noble Intentions, Unanchored Foundations
A CALL FOR UNITY MUST BE ROOTED IN CLARITY
The Independentist news group, appreciates all Ambazonians of goodwill who continue to seek unity and coordination in the struggle for our people’s freedom. The call for reconciliation, collaboration, and renewal of the collective spirit that once inspired SCACUF is, in itself, noble.
However, unity without clarity has never served our cause. When initiatives arise outside the constitutional order of the Government of the Federal Republic of Ambazonia (GFRA), they risk repeating the same cycles of fragmentation that weakened earlier efforts. The recent press release by the Ambazonia Working Group (N.8.25) — titled “Ambazonia Unity Initiative” — raises exactly that concern.
RECYCLING THE PAST WITHOUT RECOGNIZING ITS LESSONS
History has taught us that Ambazonia’s problem is not the absence of ideas — it is the repetition of structures that ignore institutional continuity. SCACUF was not defeated by lack of vision, but by lack of accountability and loyalty to constitutional frameworks.
Any genuine attempt to rebuild unity must begin by recognizing the existing legitimate government — not by bypassing it. Without that recognition, every effort, however sincere, risks duplicating functions, confusing supporters, and further dividing a liberation movement already strained by years of external aggression and internal misunderstanding.
ACKNOWLEDGING GOOD INTENT, ADDRESSING REALITY
The Independentist recognizes that many participants in this recent initiative are patriots motivated by sincere frustration over fragmentation. Their desire for reform and better coordination deserves respect.
Yet, clarity of structure remains essential. The Government of the Federal Republic of Ambazonia has already established constitutional bodies empowered to coordinate national policy, diplomacy, and defense. These institutions exist not to compete with citizen groups, but to give coherence and legitimacy to the struggle before the international community.
A NOTE ON FUNDING AND ACCOUNTABILITY
The Working Group’s communiqué makes no mention of its financial structure or oversight mechanism. In a movement that has suffered from misused donations and overlapping fundraising schemes, transparency is not optional — it is a moral duty.
The Independentist therefore cautions against any initiative soliciting funds or representing the Ambazonian cause without operating under the Treasury and Audit systems of the Government of the Federal Republic of Ambazonia. Unity cannot be achieved through unregulated channels. It must rest on trust, legality, and accountability.
SHARED RESPONSIBILITY FOR REFORM
We must also acknowledge an important truth: trust deficits did not arise from one side alone. Communication lapses and leadership fatigue within the broader liberation movement have allowed confusion to take root. The Government of the Federal Republic of Ambazonia is committed to reform — improving transparency, strengthening engagement with grassroots actors, and renewing the confidence of the people.
True unity will require humility from all — government officials, civic leaders, and diaspora organizations alike. The cause belongs to all, but it must be coordinated by the constitutional authority chosen by the people.
THE PATH FORWARD
The way forward is clear: Recognize and engage with the lawful Government of the Federal Republic of Ambazonia as the custodian of national legitimacy.
Channel goodwill and innovation from citizen groups into existing governmental structures, rather than parallel ones. Institutionalize dialogue — not competition — through open consultative platforms under government facilitation. Strengthen transparency and financial ethics to restore donor confidence and moral credibility.
The Government remains open to collaboration and inclusive consultation under lawful frameworks. What we reject is duplication — not cooperation.
CONCLUSION: UNITY WITH DIRECTION
The Independentist Political Desk reaffirms that the path to freedom runs through disciplined institutions, not fragmented committees.
Ambazonia needs every son and daughter — but it also needs a single center of legitimate authority to speak for them.
To our brothers and sisters in every organization: your passion is our shared strength. Let us now translate that passion into structure, accountability, and one coordinated voice before the world.
