Fellow Ambazonians,
On this day in history — September 1st, 1961 — La République du Cameroun secretly enacted what it shamelessly called a “Federal Constitution.” But let us remember clearly what truly happened.
A Constitution Born of Deception
This so-called federal constitution was nothing more than a translation of the French Cameroon constitution of 1960, with a second star hastily added to the flag. It was not federalism. It was fraud. A colonial sleight of hand disguised as statecraft.
The Betrayal of Resolution 1608 (XV)
Only thirty days earlier, the United Nations General Assembly, through Resolution 1608 (XV), had declared that the Government of the United Kingdom, the Government of La République du Cameroun, and the Government of Southern Cameroons must meet together to define the modalities of the federation.
But La République and France had no intention of respecting international law. They walked out of the UN process, abandoned the negotiations, and unilaterally drafted their own constitution. They later presented it in Fumban as if it were the fruit of dialogue and consensus. History records this as nothing less than fraud.
A Pattern That Never Changed
The lesson is simple: La République du Cameroun has never believed that Ambazonians have the right to their own opinions, their own voices, or their own destiny.
From the fraudulent “National Dialogue” of 2019, to the empty promises of “Decentralisation,” the posture has always been the same: they decide, we must obey.
The Puppets of Today
And now, in 2025, the same deception continues under new disguises. They use puppets to recycle old lies: Joshua Osih, Akere Muna, Sisiku Ayuk Tabe, Chris Anu, and Agbor Balla — all behaving like sheep, performing roles scripted in Yaoundé and Paris.
Anyone who dares to reason, anyone who insists on principle, is eliminated or sidelined. That is why our legitimate president, Dr. Samuel Ikome Sako, has been the constant target of betrayal and sabotage.
Why Ambazonia Will Never Bow
But let it be known: this will never work.
The Ambazonian cause is not a game of puppets. It is not a theatre of sheep. It is a struggle for survival, for justice, and for freedom. And freedom cannot be outsourced, manipulated, or silenced.
We remember September 1, 1961.
We know their methods.
And we affirm this truth: our destiny will never be dictated in Yaoundé or Paris. It will be written by Ambazonians, for Ambazonia.
