Mola Njoh Litumbe’s life is a story of brilliance, integrity, and unyielding resistance. A proud son of the Bakweri people, he grew up in Victoria (today Limbe), Southern Cameroons, and carried with him the traditions of dignity, courage, and truth that mark his people. From his formative days as one of the pioneer graduates of Sasse College to becoming the first Chartered Accountant in Cameroon, he embodied the excellence and discipline that defined an entire generation of leaders.

He trained under and later worked with Akintola Williams, the father of accountancy in West Africa, before establishing himself as a leading professional in his own right. But for Mola, success in business was never enough. His destiny was bound to the fate of his homeland. He lived and died as a giant Ambazonian, whose mission was to secure the freedom of the Southern Cameroons.

Mola bore witness to the betrayal of the 1961 UN decolonisation process, where instead of independence, Southern Cameroons was coerced into a fraudulent “federation” with La République du Cameroun. Unlike many of his contemporaries who chose silence or compromise, Mola refused to bend. He became a living library of truth, fearlessly recounting the legal frauds and betrayals that robbed Ambazonia of its sovereignty.

Even in his eighties, he stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Ambazonian protesters in Washington, D.C.. To see an elder, dressed in his simple dignity, marching beside youths carrying banners, was to see history itself walking in protest. His presence was a bridge across generations, proving that independence is not only the dream of the young but the sacred duty of every Ambazonian.

Though betrayed by elites who bartered truth for political favours, Mola remained steadfast. He refused bribes, resisted intimidation, and never lost sight of the sacred mission. Many called him stubborn — but in truth, he was unshakable.

Mola Njoh Litumbe died as he had lived: an uncompromising son of Bakweri, a pioneer professional, and a giant Ambazonian patriot. His legacy is twofold — blazing a path in accountancy, and immortalising himself as one of the clearest voices for independence.

Ambazonia salutes Mola Njoh Litumbe — son of the soil, giant of the struggle, and prophet of freedom.
