The story of Issa Tchiroma is not only about betrayal, but about recruitment. His role today as “spokesman of peace” did not emerge naturally. It was engineered.
When Tchiroma resigned from government, he did not return to private life. He went directly to the French Embassy. There, he was not treated as a politician reflecting on his career, but as a project in the making. French handlers lectured him on what posture to adopt, what alliances to build, and how to weave a new image that could deceive Ambazonians. His training was not about reconciliation. It was about infiltration.
Since that day, his political life has followed the blueprint given to him in Yaoundé’s French compound. He was told to cloak himself in the language of reason, to rebrand himself as a “survivor” and “mediator.” He was taught to switch into English when convenient, to appear approachable to Ambazonians while carrying the mission of France. Every step since has borne the fingerprints of foreign intelligence.
His latest interview exposed this pattern with surgical clarity. The timing of the broadcast, the carefully prepared stage, the absence of critical questioning — all revealed a scripted operation. His words, “no options off the table” and “dialogue is paramount,” were not personal reflections. They were lines from a French playbook designed to weaken Ambazonian resistance.
Ambazonians must not fall into this trap. These code words are psychological weapons. They are not about peace. They are about testing our vigilance, tricking us into unmasking ourselves, and giving La République du Cameroun another century of domination under France’s guidance.
