Correction to Article: On the Ambazonian independence quest “Fragments, Not Fractions” – Hon. Tibor Nagy’s Candid Appraisal of Ambazonian Leadership
By Editor-in-Chief Ali Dan Ismael
Date: June 10, 2025

It has come to our attention that an editorial error occurred in the original publication of the article titled:

On the Ambazonian independent quest “Fragments, Not Fractions: A Candid Diagnosis by Hon. Tibor Nagy and President Sako’s Vision for Strategic Inclusion.”

In that article, the statement attributed to Hon. Tibor Nagy, former United States Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, was incorrectly rendered as:

“The Ambazonian leadership is in fragments – not fractions.”

The correct and intended quotation is:

“The Ambazonian leadership is in fragments – not factions.”

This correction is both factual and significant. The word fractions implies mathematically balanced or organised segments within a larger whole. However, what Hon. Nagy clearly conveyed was that the Ambazonian leadership has devolved into fragments — not factions — underscoring a breakdown in unity, coordination, and structural coherence.

By using the term fragments, Hon. Nagy highlighted the degree of disconnection and dysfunction that weakens the effectiveness of the movement’s diplomatic and political posture on the international stage. Unlike factions, which can still represent legitimate ideological streams capable of negotiation or alliance, fragments denote a scattering — a loss of collective identity and direction.

This editorial oversight is sincerely regretted. The corrected version of the article has now been updated to reflect the accurate quotation and its deeper implications for Ambazonian leadership and unity.

We appreciate the attention of our readers and reaffirm our commitment to accurate historical and political documentation.
