The Oath of a Clean Struggle: A Public Commitment to Integrity and Accountability

Let this oath serve not as a weapon, but as a standard. Not as a purge, but as a purification of principles. Not as a threat, but as a commitment to conduct worthy of the future envisioned.

Preamble

In the aftermath of diplomatic disappointments and continued violence across our homeland, many within the Southern Cameroons reflect on a difficult truth: a divided movement cannot prevail. For nearly a decade, communities have endured sacrifice, displacement, and uncertainty in pursuit of restoration and dignity.

Yet alongside external pressures, internal fractures have deepened mistrust. Allegations of criminal infiltration, factional violence, and coercion have complicated the moral clarity of the struggle. At this moment, what is required is not rage, but renewal — not vengeance, but reform.

This document is therefore not a call to hostility. It is a civic pledge — a public affirmation of standards that any legitimate movement must uphold.

THE DECLARATION

I, __________, representing __________, do solemnly affirm the following commitments before my community and in good conscience:

  1. Commitment to Transparency and Accountability
We reject all forms of criminality, extortion, or violence against civilians carried out in the name of liberation. Any armed actor operating within our communities must be subject to discipline, accountability, and civilian oversight.
  2. Commitment to Civilian Protection
We affirm that the protection of mothers, traders, teachers, elders, and youth is paramount. No political objective justifies the intimidation or harm of those the struggle claims to defend.
  3. Commitment to Lawful Advocacy
We support advocacy grounded in international law, human rights principles, and peaceful civic resistance. We reject tactics that undermine diplomatic credibility or weaken the moral standing of our cause.
  4. Commitment to Memory and Truth
We honor all civilians and fighters who have lost their lives in this conflict. Their memory demands seriousness, not exploitation. We commit to seeking truth through documentation and dialogue rather than rumor and retaliation.
  5. Commitment to Unity Over Fragmentation
We refuse to allow factional rivalry, personal ambition, or criminal opportunism to divide our communities. Disagreements must be addressed through dialogue and structured reform, not through violence.
  6. Commitment to a Clean Struggle
We envision a restoration movement grounded in integrity, discipline, and respect for human dignity. Sovereignty, if pursued, must reflect the values it seeks to institutionalize.

Conclusion: A Covenant of Conduct

A movement’s strength is measured not only by what it resists, but by what it represents.

If a sovereign future is to be credible, it must be built on law rather than coercion, unity rather than fear, and accountability rather than impunity. The path forward demands moral discipline — a refusal to tolerate abuses committed in the name of liberation.

Let this oath serve not as a weapon, but as a standard. Not as a purge, but as a purification of principles. Not as a threat, but as a commitment to conduct worthy of the future envisioned.

Signed this day, February 28, 2026,
In the spirit of responsibility, dignity, and lawful restoration.
