The Republic of Cameroon a country in the central African sub region will be celebrating her National day on May 20th 2025 amist a ragging war between the English speaking part of the country seeking recognition as a separate Nation and the government of the 92 years old President Paul Biya.
While preparations are brazing up in the capital Yaounde and other parts of the French speaking section of the country, the ‘government in Exile’ of the English speaking cameroons today called Ambazonia that has been prosecuting the over eight years of war, has ordered for a five days lock down with no activities in Bamenda, Buea and the rest of the former British southern cameroons they are known to control.
The lock down according to the leader of the Ambazonian Federal government based in washington DC Dr. Samuel Ikome Sako, is in denial of the existance of any Union between the Republic of Cameroon and the former British southern Cameroons today called Ambazonia.

In a 52 page document by the Ambazonians students caucus, procured by the editorial team of the Independentist news house. Some fifteen reasons have been raised why the 20th of May National day celebrations are a Taboo in the territory of Ambazonia, one can read the document in full below……

HERE ARE 15 REASONS WHY SOUTHERN CAMEROONIANS (AMBAZONIANS) WOULD NEVER CELEBRATE 20TH MAY AS A PUBLIC HOLIDAY
Until the advent of social media, Francophones in La République du Cameroun, were handicapped by their ignorance of certain facts that were hidden from them deliberately by the political, socio-cultural and educational orientation imposed in La République du Cameroun by France through the Cooperation Agreements signed in December 1959. Some of these facts which can be verified are as follows:
- They are ignorant of the fact that the history of La République du Cameroun vis a vis Southern Cameroons was hidden from them deliberately by not teaching the history of the country in their schools while Southern Cameroonians were thought the history in Primary school prior to 1972.
- They are ignorant of the fact that what was exposed to them as history is deliberately distorted by the French who only acknowledged and admitted this in the French Senate in 2014. Google: Report No. 104 (2013-2014) 0f 29 October 2013 published by the French SENAT titled “L’AFRIQUE ET NOTRE AVENIR”. In the report the French admit that they distorted the history of African countries and the history needs to be “rewritten by French and African historians telling the truth”.
- They are ignorant of the fact that in respect of the Cooperation Agreements signed with French territories in 1959, and the condition that France had to control their education from elementary school to University, the French imposed a unique system of education on its oversea territories including La République du Cameroun.
A system that trains elite to follow instructions and not think. This has been revealed by Nathalie Yamb (a Francophone journalist) on social media, and she says that the system is failing. Google;(Le Systeme scolaire Francophone programmé pour echouer- Nathalie Yamb – YouTube). Nathalie Yamb says that the system trains students to memorize their courses and recite them in exams and punishes students who do research.
It trains followers and not thinkers. According to Prof. Melhang Chang in his publication on social media titled “L’AFRIQUE, UN CONTINENT ÉCHORCHÉ.” The educational orientation from the agreements makes the Francophone elite in Africa very mediocre and “reason like small birds hanging on a tree branch upside down” and “their stupidity has no limit”.
Is it not inexplicable to have the Minister of Higher education order 32 GB Laptops without Hard drives but memory cards for university students in the social media era of the 21st century and give them to students as a Presidential gift. Worse still, he equates 32 GB to 500 GB until he is disproved by High School students.
Is it not mediocre for the elite to sell a ton of iron ore from Campo to SINOSTEEL of China for 2300 fcfa a ton in a convention for the Chinese company to mine 10.000.000 tons a year and give the government 23 billion fcfa when the Chinese firm will enrich the 10.000.000 tons of iron ore mined to 60% and get 4.000.000 tons of pure iron which it will sell 1 ton of the iron at 1500, 000fcfa/ton. In a year the company will sell 4000.000 tons at 1,500.000 fcfa and make 6000 billion cfa while Cameroun gets 23 billion fcfa /yr.
According to Hon. Cabral Libii, the convention is for 50 years. In 50 years, SINOSTEEL of China will make 6000 billion x 50 years which is 300.000 billion Fcfa. La République du Cameroun will make 23 billion x 50 which is 1150 billion fcfa. For this profit SINOSTEEL engages to invest 425 billion in Cameroun. 1150 + 425 =ǰ 1575 billon FCFA. Is Prof. Melhang Chang wrong to say that “the stupidity of elite in Francophone Africa has no limit”?
Is it not inexplicable as Me Akere Muna says in the Glencore affair that elite in SNH and SONARA sell oil in Cameroun at 30% less than the world market price? And in some cases to the company VITOL at less than 70% less than the world market price and for this they are corrupted with 7 billion Fcfa?
Is it not inexplicable to arrest and imprison University Professors and others for complaining that the people who embezzled money to build stadiums to host the 2019 African Cup in Cameroun be brought to justice when the country was humiliated and the hosting transferred to another country for lack of appropriate infrastructure, while the embezzlers are walking free on the street?
Is it not inexplicable and mediocre, to be using pieces of paper (the FCFA) as a currency which are produced by France when France itself does not accept it as currency? Most stupid about the pieces of paper called FCFA from France is that there are two types: The FCFA for Central Africa and the FCFA for West Africa.
655 FCFA for Central Africa = 1 Euro
655FCFA for West Africa = 1 Euro
But 1 FCFA of Central Africa cannot be exchanged for 1 FCFA of West Africa. Can one blame Melhang Chang when he says above that the stupidity of elite in Francophone Africa has no limit?
Reason why Marine Le Pen (runner up to Macron in the last Presidential elections in France) says in Google: Marine LE PEN” Le Franc CFA est un drame pour l’economie africaine –YouTube that the FCFA is meant to destroy the economies of African countries.
Because of the mediocre educational orientation from France, the elite in Francophone African countries cannot do anything about it. What mediocrity?
Sensing that Nathalie Yamb may educate Francophones out of this mediocrity, to continue to conceal the information, the French harassed her and made her “Persona non Grata in France” (Google: Nathalie Yamb: interdiction d’entrée et de sejour en France: Ma REACTION-YouTube).
As a result of the ignorance of Francophones of their history and the deliberate distortion of the history by the French to keep them perpetually ignorant, we have resolved never to celebrate 20th May in Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia). Our resolved is heightened by the fact that Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia) and La République du Cameroun are not one country, and would never be one country because of corruption, intimidation, massacres, war or genocide. Secondly, there is no legal instrument, treaty, UN Resolution, or negotiations that bind Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia) to La République du Cameroun.
Nobody explains this better for Francophones to understand than Professor Maurice Kamto at The Hague Academy of International Law.
On the 8th of July 2024 Professor Maurice Kamto from La République du Cameroun was invited to give the inaugural Lecture during the official opening of the 93rd Public International Law Summer Courses of The Hague Academy of International Law at the University of Montreal in Quebec. According to social media, the Public Lecture was given in an Amphi Theatre of 340 international Law luminaries from 90 countries and 105 international Law experts worldwide participated virtually. The lectures were graced by the presence of two eminent judges from the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
During the inaugural, the Secretary General of the Hague Academy of International Law Professor Jean Marc Thouvenin introduced Professor Maurice Kamto, (from La République du Cameroun) as “a renowned Professor of International Law. He has been Dean of the Faculty of Law of the University of Yaoundé in Cameroon and has authored numerous publications on International Law. He served as a Member of the International Law Commission of the United Nations, contributing to the development of International Law Principles. He was a member and legal Adviser to the Cameroon Delegation to the Diplomatic Conference in Rome for the creation of the International Criminal Court. He is founder of the African Society of International Law and a Member of the prestigious CURATORIUM of the Hague Academy of International Law. He is the founder and President of the Movement for the Renaissance of Cameroun (MRC), party in La République du Cameroun”.
The CURATORIUM of The Hague Academy of International Law is made up of 18 members chosen from among international Law experts in the world. Members of the Curatorium are highly respected legal scholars, judges, or practitioners in international Law and they play a significant role in shaping the Academy’s educational and research agenda. Let us add that as President of the Political Party called “Movement Pour La Renaissance du Cameroun” (MRC), Professor Maurice Kamto was a runner up in the last Presidential elections in La République du Cameroun which he is highly acclaimed to have won; and an aspirant in the fourth coming Presidential elections in La République du Cameroun in 2025.
In the international Conference which held in the University of Montreal in Quebec on the 8th of July 2024, Professor Maurice Kamto (profiled above) chose to talk on theme “International Law and Uncompleted Decolonization”.
He revealed that in international Law, the Process of decolonization of a country “starts when there is an accord to decolonize the country and a date is chosen for the independence of the country”.
He indicated that the moment and date of independence of a country is not only important but “CRITICAL” because it grants to the country what he called in Latin “UTI POSSIDETIS JURIS” and he explained this to mean that “what you have as territory at the time of your independence is yours, you own it”. So, according to Professor Maurice Kamto, the date the UN grants independence to a country, it equally grants it a territory with frontiers following the Latin maxim UTI POSSIDETIS JURIS.
Professor Maurice Kamto cited the example of his country La République du Cameroun and explained that, “the date of independence chosen for his country by the United Nations was the 1st of January 1960, so it was on the 1st of January 1960 that La République du Cameroun became independent”
Lecturing further on the question of territorial Frontiers, he revealed that in the case of Africa, the OAU passed a resolution in 1964 bearing on the inviolability of territorial boundaries acquired at independence.
He emphasized that the inviolability of frontiers acquired at independence has since been made a Principle of intangibility of Frontiers in international Law established by an Arête of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in 1986 in the frontier case between Burkina Faso and Mali. We like to add that when OAU was changed to African Union (AU) in 2002, this principle of intangibility of Frontiers was carried over in Article 4(b) of the Constitutive Act of the African Union of 2002 establishing that “the boundaries of every country are confined to the boundaries it inherited on its day of independence”. La République du Cameroun has ratified the Constitutive Act of the African Union. Ratification is a procedure by which a state or country accepts freely that a treaty or an international Convention would apply to it and takes precedence over its local Laws.
Prof. Maurice Kamto explained that “intangibility in international Law means that the frontiers can never be changed” and added that irrespective of that, two countries can discuss and agree to modify their boundaries.
As Professor Maurice Kamto explained, the date that the UN chose for the independence of La République du Cameroun after voting UN Resolution 1349(XIII) on the 13 of March 1959 granting it independence, was the 1st of January 1960. In international Law therefore, on the 1st of January 1960, La République du Cameroun acquired the territory and the boundaries it has now; following the Latin Maxim UTI POSSIDETIS JURIS. By the Principle of Intangibility of frontiers established by the Arête of the ICJ in 1986, the boundaries can never be changed.
Let us say here clearly that according to history, after achieving independence on the chosen date of 1st January 1960 with its territory granted by the UN through the Latin Maxim UTI POSSEDITIS JURIS with intangible boundaries, La République du Cameroun applied to be admitted to the United Nations as a member and it was effectively admitted in the United Nations on the 20th of September 1960 following UNGA Resolution 1476-X1V as La République du Cameroun, with the boundaries acquired above. Professor Maurice Kamto revealed further in Montreal that, irrespective of the Principle of intangibility established by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in 1986, two states can discuss and modify their boundaries. He was right, because this was provided for in Article 102(1) of the United Nations Charter of 1945. It provides that two countries can discuss to change their borders but they must sign a treaty to this effect and a copy must be deposited at the Secretariat of the United Nations. To get Prof. Maurice Kamto’s lecture in Montreal with the above facts, GOOGLE: The address of Professor Maurice Kamto at the meeting of the Academy of International Law at the University of Quebec in Montreal on the 8th of July 2024 (Youtu.be) or Prof. Maurice Kamto on INTERNATIONAL LAW AND UNCOMPLETED DECOLONIZATION at the University of Quebec in Montreal on the 8th of July 2024 (YouTube) or https://youtube/idpWxjvdkjQ?si=FUyWcveJCjOQqONp
From Professor Maurice Kamto’s inaugural lecture above, and what he revealed as a member of the Curatorium of The Hague Academy of International Law to the world of international Law and members of the International Court of Justice, we will never celebrate 20th May in Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia) as a holiday for the following reasons which nobody in La République du Cameroun can doubt anymore:
- LA RÉPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN AND SOUTHERN CAMEROONS
(AMBAZONIA) HAD INDEPENDENCE FROM THE UNITED NATIONS
WITH DIFFERENT DATES OF INDEPENDENCE CHOSEN FOR
THEM AND THE ATTRIBUTES THAT GO WITH THEM
Professor Maurice Kamto, said in the conference above that the date of independence chosen for his country La République du Cameroun by the UN is the 1st of January 1960. We like Francophones in La République du Cameroun that the date of independence chosen by the UN for the Southern Cameroons is the 1st of October 1961. So we are not one country and so would not celebrate 20th May as a national day in Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia).
For a better understanding and verification by Francophones who are ignorant, UN member states voted Resolution 1349(X111) granting independence to La République du Cameroun in the 794 meeting of General Assembly of the UN in the 13 Session of the 4th Committee on the 13 of March 1959. The date chosen for their independence was the 1st of January 1960. As Prof. Maurice said, on the 1st of January 1960 La République du Cameroun was independent with a territory given to it by the UN to own by virtue of the Latin Maxim UTI POSSENDITIS JURIS, with intangible boundaries that can never be changed according to the International Court of Justice Arête of 1986.The reference for verification is A/Resolution 1349(XIII) and the PV is A/PV.794 / 13 March 1959.
The same UN member’s states voted Resolution 1608(XV) granting independence to Southern Cameroons in the 994 meeting of the General Assembly of the UN in the 15 Session of the 4th Committee on the 21st April 1961. The results of the vote were as follows 64 votes for independence, 23 votes against and 10 abstentions. The reference is – A/Resolution/1608(XV) and the PV is A/PV. 994 / 21 April 1961 ref. 64-23-10. According to Prof. Maurice Kamto, on the 1st of October 1961, The Southern Cameroons was independent with a territory given to it by the UN to own by virtue of the Latin Maxim UTI POSSENDITIS JURIS, with intangible boundaries that can never be changed according to the International Court of Justice Arête of 1986. We believe there is no controversy among us anymore about the independence of the La République du Cameroun and Southern Cameroons with the references in UN papers above that can be verified. What therefore justifies that we celebrate 2oth May as a holiday in Southern Cameroons?
- THE PLEBISCITE ON THE 11TH OF FEBRUARY 1961 BY SOUTHERN CAMEROONS TO JOIN LA RÉPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROON AFTER INDEPENDENCE WAS NOT AN ACT OF ANNEXATION, ASSIMILATION, INTEGRATION OR RECOLONIZATION
We have heard some Professors (we respected) say Southern Cameroons voted in a plebiscite to join with La République du Cameroon at independence and they use that to justify the massacres and destruction La République du Cameroun is carrying out in Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia). Amado Ali (then Deputy Minister of Justice) even said “they never asked us to join them, that it was our choice to join them”.
Prior to our independence, Southern Cameroons voted in a UN organized Plebiscite to join La République du Cameroun after independence with the precedent condition that, Southern Cameroons, Britain, La République du Cameroun and 3 representatives of the UN would meet to draw up conditions for joining. The meeting did not hold.
Meanwhile La République du Cameroun organized local talks in Foumban in July 1961 where Ahidjo (the President of La République du Cameroun and his delegation) had discussion with Foncha (The Prime Minister of the Southern Cameroons and his delegation) where they discussed among other things to form a federation. Not only did the meeting not meet the prescription by the UN, what was fabricated from there like a Constitution had two flaws:
i. It was not ratified by the Parliament of Southern Cameroons that existed so it was null and void in Southern Cameroons;
ii. It was voted and promulgated into Law by Ahidjo on the 1st of September 1961 when the Federation between Southern Cameroons and La République du Cameroon came into being on the 1st of October 1961.
Unfortunately, elite in La République du Cameroun have always referred to the talks in Foumban erroneously, as the act that makes us one country, irrespective of our different dates of independence.
Let us repeat. In history that has been hidden from Francophones, prior to granting independence to Southern Cameroons, the UN got the Southern Cameroons to vote willingly in a plebiscite on the 11 of February 1961 that had two questions: whether to join La République du Cameroon to form a United Federal Republic of Cameroon with equal status on attaining independence or to join the independent Federation of Nigeria.
Southern Cameroons voted in the plebiscite to join La République du Cameroon after independence on clear terms as understood at the United Nations including La République du Cameroun.
The results of the plebiscite were therefore not a mandate for incorporation or absorption or integration or assimilation of the Southern Cameroons by La République du Cameroun. If it were, the UN would have integrated Southern Cameroons into La République du Cameroun that was independent in 1960 and it would not need Mr. Biya to tell MO IBRAHIM in Paris on the 12 of November 2019 that he has been trying to integrate the 20% Anglophones into the 80% Francophones and it has failed.
It was not a mandate for transfer of Southern Cameroons territory to La République du Cameroun either.
In its effort to annex, assimilate, integrate or enslave Southern Cameroons, and to justify the war and destruction Southern Cameroons is experiencing today in the hands of La République du Cameroun, we have heard Francophone University Professors cite, emphasize and limit themselves to the “independence by joining” in the plebiscite question of 11 February 1961 as the act that enslaves Southern Cameroons in La République du Cameroun. A few issues hidden from Francophones need to be disclosed here:
i. Out of pure ignorance and mediocrity Francophone elite mistake “independence by joining” with “independence upon joining”. What is the difference in history?
“Independence by joining” was clearly understood by all concerned to at the UN to mean ‘forming a federation of two states, equal in status. Ahidjo expressed this clearly to the British Government in his (Note Verbale No. F.M. 68 (1041/60) dated 16 December 1960) to the British Government on 24 December 1960. With the history hidden from Francophones, we wonder how many Francophone Professors have read this declaration from their former president. From their arguments we believe this is hidden from them too.
ii. According to Prof. Maurice Kamto above, the Date of Independence chosen for a country by the UN has attributes and the attributes to Southern Cameroons at independence could not be influenced by the plebiscite. The plebiscite held on the 11th of February 1961. The UN resolved to grant independence to Southern Cameroons on the 21st of April 1961 and chose a date of independence for Southern Cameroons to be the 1st of October 1961. According to The Hague Academy of International Law and the International Law community, on the 1st of October Southern Cameroons was granted independence and a territory following the Latin Maxim UTI POSSEDETIS JURIS with territorial boundaries which are intangible following the ICJ Arête of 1986. In resolving to grant independence to Southern Cameroons on the 21st of April 1961, the UN was aware of the plebiscite reason why it ordered for a meeting between Britain, France, the UN and Southern Cameroons and La République du Cameroun which never held.
iii. Ahidjo (the President of La République du Cameroun) and Foncha (the leader of Southern Cameroons) had several discussions on the two countries joining prior to 1961. Prof. Kamto has mentioned this in some of his outings on TV. There was no question of the Southern Cameroons becoming a part of French Cameroun. If there were, Southern Cameroons would have been attached to or integrated into independent La République du Cameroun after the plebiscite.
iv. The UN could not attach, fuse or integrate Southern Cameroons in 1961 into La République du Cameroun that was independent in 1960 because Southern Cameroons had international legal status as a UN Category B Trust Territory just like La République du Cameroun; with defined boundaries recognized in international Law (as opposed to what we hear some Professors recite to Francophones). According Prof. Maurice Kamto above, the UN had chosen a date of independence for Southern Cameroons as the 1st of October 1961. On the 1st of October Southern Cameroons was independent and federated with La République du Cameroun like an independent country with the attributes that go with the date of independence as explained at The Hague Academy of International Law by a member of the Curatorium above.
v. Besides what happened at the UN, it is hidden from Francophones that the arrangement (of Southern Cameroons joining La République du Cameroun on equal status) was stipulated in a signed agreement between the Southern Cameroons and French Cameroun in December 1960 and included in the plebiscite campaign document known as “The Two Alternatives”.
We wonder how many Francophone Professors who are so anxious to deceive Francophone students, that Southern Cameroons became independent by joining La République du Cameroun have read this document “THE TWO ALTERNATIVES”. If any, they would not display their mediocrity by citing “independence by joining” to justify the War declared on Southern Cameroons.
vi. Does it require any thinking to know that only two independent countries can form a federation? It was clearly written in The History of Cameroon by S.N. TITA that was taught in Primary schools in West Cameroon after independence that the reason why Southern Cameroons formed a federation with La République du Cameroun in 1961 was because they were two independent countries. Professor Maurice Kamto’s explanation to the international community above makes it clear. How could Primary school teachers know this in 1972 and University Professors in La République du Cameroun not know this in 2023? Could it have been otherwise? Can they challenge this information from Primary school teachers in West Cameroon in the early 70s?
vii. It is hidden from Francophones that the United Nations at its inception in 1945 had taken disposition to handle the situation of countries that had to join others at independence. Joining was not going to be by territorial theft, lies, demagogy, intimidation, primitive barbarism, and killing of innocent people or genocide. This was provided for in Article 102(1) of the United Nations Charter of 1945. Joining was going to be through a Union treaty in accordance with Art 102 (1) of the UN charter of 1945 for there to be a new country. From Professor Maurice Kamto’s explanation in Montreal in July 2024, is there any doubt that La République du Cameroun and Southern Cameroun were two independent countries on the Ist of October 1961?
Why does La République du Cameroun believe that it can intimidate Southern Cameroonians with war, corrupt some and create its country through genocide or by distributing “Special status” resulting from a failing political, socio cultural and educational orientation imposed by France on them from obnoxious cooperation agreements?
From the information from Professor Maurice Kamto above, it is simple and common knowledge that it should not be the case. This is one reason why we cannot continue to celebrate 20th May as a holiday in Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia).
- THERE IS NO UNION TREATY BETWEEN LA RÉPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN AND SOUTHERN CAMEROONS AS PER ART 102(1) OF THE UN CHARTER OF 1945
As indicated above, the UN had taken disposition to regulate when two countries have to join after independence to form one country. This is spelled out in Art. 102(1) OF THE UN CHARTER OF 1945. It provides that two countries can discuss to change their borders but they must sign a treaty to this effect that is ratified and a copy must be deposited at the Secretariat of the United Nations. We challenge University Professors in La République du Cameroun to challenge this fact.
There is no doubt from Professor Maurice Kamto’s explanation above that by the 1st of October 1961 Southern Cameroons and La République du Cameroun were two independent countries. Yet, it is hidden from Francophones that Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia) does not have a union treaty with La République du Cameroun as required by the United Nations despite the federation in 1961 that Ahidjo created one month before the union.
The reason being that the meeting that was ordered by the UN involving France, Britain, the UN, La République du Cameroun and Southern Cameroons, to meet the above conditions did not hold. Mediocre elite have not only been emphasizing on the plebiscite as the instrument that ties Southern Cameroons to La République du Cameroun and other fallacies; but they have sought to equate the mascaraed in Foumban as satisfying Art. 102(1) of the UN Charter of 1945.
For examples of federations, the United States Federation was ratified by all the thirteen original colonies after negotiations between the 13 colonies. The agreements through these negotiations ushered in a constitution in 1791.
In the case of Cameroun, the constitution was ratified in the East Cameroon house of Assembly one month before the federation.
The Treaty of Maastricht created the European Union and it was ratified by all the members’ states. Britain opted out of the Union freely through a referendum. The USSR had no treaty of union with its constituent states and it collapsed. Yugoslavia had no treaty of union between its entities, and it collapsed with Bosnia, Croatia, and Montenegro becoming independent countries. Ditto for Ethiopia and Eritrea.
There is no Treaty of Union between La République du Cameroon and Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia) and La République du Cameroun believes it can conquer Southern Cameroons in the 21st Century or use intimidation and corruption to subdue its independence and colonize it. When this does not seem to work, La République du Cameroun believes it can violate the UN Charter of 1945, use lies and corruption and give Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia) a “special status territory” in La République du Cameroun like France gave to its oversea territories of Guadeloupe, Martinique, Reunion and Ile Maurice.
Nobody should be in any doubt that joining of Southern Cameroons that had independence following Resolution 1608(XV) with a territory and intangible boundaries with La République du Cameroun that had independence following Resolution 1349(XIII) with a territory and intangible territorial boundaries was supposed to be by a union treaty; and a copy had to be deposited at the UN. The treaty was going to among other things spell out the conditions of joining, the modifications in the territorial boundaries of the new country as a result of the joining and the protections indicated for the populations of the respective countries in the union.
Mediocre Professors have alluded to the Foumban conference as some discussion between Southern Cameroons and La République du Cameroun. In their mediocrity, they do not indicate the fact that the constitution that came out of Foumban in 1961 which they called the Federal Constitution was never ratified by the Parliament of West Cameroon, even if it was discussion for a union. All we know about Francophones so far is that one Professor, Professor Maurice Kamto once summoned courage to announce in a meeting in Canada that Anglophones are right when they say the Federal Constitution of 1961 was not ratified by the West Cameroon Parliament that existed. We have him on tape. This had consequences in international Law where Prof. Maurice Kamto is an expert.
The consequence is that the constitution was null and void in West Cameroon. We challenge Prof. Maurice Kamto to deny this fact which he teaches in the University
It is immaterial to talk about the violation of Art 47 of the constitution by Ahidjo and his French advisers which only amplified the mediocrity in the educational orientation imposed by the French in La République du Cameroun.
Just like Nathalie Yamb was intimidated and made “Persona non Grata” in France to hide her revelation to Africans that the educational orientation from France was failing, Lord Justice Ayah Paul Abine (retired Judge of the Supreme Court of La République du Cameroun) was arrested without an arrest warrant, put in prison for 8 months and released without trial to hide the fact he revealed to Francophones that there is no union treaty between Southern Cameroons and La République du Cameroun according to Article102(1) of the UN Charter.
He was later deprived of his pension and his accounts frozen precipitating his death. Similarly, Dr. Patrice Nganang was arrested and put in prison and later made persona non grata in Cameroun to hide from Francophones the book he wrote on the Anglophone revolts stating the root causes of the problem. This is how much the system goes to keep Francophones ignorant of their history.
The fact that the history of the country is unfolding through International Law figures like Prof. Maurice Kamto makes it absurd for Southern Cameroonians to celebrate 2Oth May as a holiday in Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia).
- SOUTHERN CAMEROONS(AMBAZONIA) IS NOT PART OF THE COUNTRY CALLED “LA RÉPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROON” AT THE UNITED NATIONS AND THIS SHOULD BE MADE CLEAR AFTER THE BASELESS AND SENSELESS WAR DECLARED ON SOUTHERN CAMEROONS (AMBAZONIA)
From the lecture by Prof. Maurice Kamto above, and the references on the independence of La République du Cameroun and Southern Cameroons above, there is no doubt that La République du Cameroun had independence on its chosen date of 1st January 1960. History has it that upon achieving independence as indicated above, La République du Cameroun applied to be admitted to the United Nations as a member and it was effectively admitted in the United Nations on the 20th of September 1960 following United Nations General Assembly “UNGA” Resolution 1476-X1V with its territory granted in 1960 following the Latin maxim UTI POSSEDITIS JURIS with intangible boundaries
Following the Lecture of Prof. Maurice Kamto above, there is no doubt that Southern Cameroons achieved independence on the chosen date of 1st October 1961 with territory granted to it following the Latin Maxim UTI POSSEDETIS JUSIS and with intangible boundaries. After independence of Southern Cameroons effective on the 1st of October 1961, and joining La République du Cameroun as per the plebiscite in a Federation with equal status, La République du Cameroun did not and has never signed a union treaty with Southern Cameroons as required by Art.102(1) of the UN Charter of 1945.
Consequently, its territorial boundaries at the level of the United Nations as at the 2oth of September 1960 have never been modified to include Southern Cameroons as part of La République du Cameroun as would have been if Art.102(1) of the UN Charter was respected.
Mr. Biya and his predecessor have left Francophones ignorant and believed that they can use the distorted history of the Country by France, mediocre Professors, mediocre educational orientation from France, deceit, “special status”, intimidation and war to integrate Southern Cameroons in to La République du Cameroun. Mr. Biya acknowledged the failure of this sinister design to the world to Mr. Mo Ibrahim at the Agricultural a summit in Paris on the 12 of November 2019.
With the education from Professor Maurice Kamto to the international Community, La République du Cameroun should be in no doubt that Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia) was not and is not a colony that integrated into La République du Cameroon to have independence. It should be in no doubt that Southern Cameroons is not part of La République du Cameroon internationally and there is no country called La République du Cameroon that officially includes Southern Cameroons that had independence in 1961.
This truth will not be changed by ignorance, lies, deceit, falsehood, genocide or war.
We challenge Mr. Biya and University Professors and teachers in La République du Cameroun or Francophone students who do not simply follow blindly from the mediocre educational orientation from France, to do research and prove the contrary with facts and references from UN documents. Until prove of the contrary, we cannot follow lies, blindly and celebrate 20th May in Southern Cameroons (as if we are one country)
- LA RÉPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN AND SOUTHERN CAMEROONS (AMBAZONIA) HAVE DISTINCT TERRITORIAL BOUNDARIES RECOGNIZED IN INTERNATIONAL LAW THAT HAVE NEVER BEEN DISPUTED.
The baseless and senseless war waged on Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia) has made ignorant Francophone elite and youths whose history is hidden from them deliberately, to continue to believe that we are one country. No. We are not
Besides the different dates of independence of Southern Cameroons and La République du Cameroun with the attributes that go with that, as explained by Prof. Maurice Kamto to the world above, and the fact that there is no union treaty between the two countries, the fact is hidden from Francophones that La République du Cameroun and Southern Cameroons have very distinct territorial boundaries that were established through international treaties, are recognized in International Law and they are intangible following the international Court of Justice Arête of 1986 cited by Professor Maurice Kamto above. These boundaries have never been disputed either by La République du Cameroun, France, Southern Cameroons or Britain because they are intangible. That is, they can never be changed as Prof. Maurice Kamto explained.
For Francophones who are kept ignorant by their distorted history, they need to be informed that the territory that was given to Southern Cameroons by the UN when it chose the date of independence of Southern Cameroons as the 1st of October 1961 is well-defined and protected by international boundary treaties. It begins at the Atlantic coast in the Gulf of Guinea, with a territorial sea consistent with the 1982 Convention on the Law of the Sea. Its frontiers with La République du Cameroun are firmly secured by the Alfred Milner and Henry Simon international boundary treaty of 1917 that was confirmed by the Versailles Peace Treaty between France, Britain and Germany in July 1919 respecting the Frontier between the British Cameroons and French Cameroun. They were more elaborately defined in 1928 in a joint declaration by the Governor of the Colony and Protectorate of Nigeria and the Governor of French Cameroun and approved in an Exchange of Notes between the British and French Governments on 9th January 1931 determining the Frontier between British Cameroons and French Cameroun”.
The frontier with Nigeria is secured by the boundary treaty of 11th March 1913 between Great Britain and Germany respecting the Settlement of the Frontier between Nigeria and the Cameroons, and the agreement concerning the Demarcation of the Anglo-German Boundary between Nigeria and the Cameroons of 12th April 1913. These boundaries have never been disputed by La République du Cameroun or France or by Britain or Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia), because of the Arête of the international Court of Justice (ICJ) of 1986 in the frontier case between Mali and Burkina Faso.
In international Law, these boundaries cannot be changed by war or by force especially during the social media era.
To Francophones who are kept ignorant, we like to point out to them that the position of the United Nations General Assembly on the modification of territorial boundaries has never been ambiguous since 1945 as echoed by the President of the UN General Assembly in 2019. On the question of national boundaries, in the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly, in December 2019, the outgoing President of the UN General Assembly Mr. Tijjani Muhammad Bande of Nigeria said very clearly that “As far as the General Assembly is concerned, countries are not right to change bothers.
This is something that is done in relation to complex negotiations underpinned by the rule of Law; underpinned by respect. The position of the General Assembly is very clear, bothers cannot be changed but through negotiations and Agreement”.
Southern Cameroons has never had any negotiation with La République du Cameroun to change its boundaries and La République du Cameroun believes that it can change its boundaries to include Southern Cameroons through lies, falsehood, demagogy, corruption, bullying and war.
We cannot let La République du Cameroun change its borders unilaterally with corruption, lies and arms and Southern Cameroons is a victim. The choice to say “NO” is ours and we rest determined and would not be intimidated by war. To celebrate 20th May as a holiday in Southern Cameroons, is telling the international community Prof. Maurice Kamto was addressing in Montreal in July 2024 that the information on the decolonization of territories does not apply to Southern Cameroons. It is the wrong message. Such acquiescence to the mediocre educational orientation imposed in La République du Cameroun by France that requires that we simply follow without reflection is totally not Anglo-Saxon.
- COUNTRIES ARE SUPPOSED BY INTERNATIONAL LAW TO BE CONFINED TO THEIR BOUNDARIES AT INDEPENDENCE
With the distorted history and imposed mediocre educational orientation, we believe Francophones do not know that it is established in international Law particularly in Art. 4(b) of the Constitutive Act of the African Union of 2000 (La République du Cameroun has ratified it) that the boundaries of every country are confined to the boundaries it inherited on its day of independence. Mr. Aboubakar Ousman Mey explained this very clearly to Francophones in French on the 21st May 2023 in the program “La Verité enface” on Equinox TV. (Google: EQUINOX TV – LA VERIRITE EN FACE of Sunday 21 May 2023 – Aboubakar Ousmane Mey).
It is clear from the lecture of Prof. Maurice Kamto above that La République du Cameroon does not doubt its boundaries at independence or the boundaries of Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia) at independence. Southern Cameroons was not part of La République du Cameroun at independence. The boundaries of the two countries are defined as spelled above and are protected by international Law. They have never been disputed either by La République du Cameroun and Southern Cameroons or by France as the colonial masters of La République du Cameroun and Britain as the colonial masters of Southern Cameroons. Let us mention here that these boundaries are demarcated by boundary marks that are visible to everybody today.
So, why does La République du Cameroun not limit itself to its boundaries at independence, which it does not dispute after ratifying the Constitutive Act of the African Union? It is puzzling!
Our guess is that either they are ignorant and ill-informed or they are following what France says without thinking; or Mr. Biya and La République du Cameroun simply believe that they can continue to rely on lies and deceit from gullible, treacherous and corrupt Southern Cameroonians(Senators and Parliamentarians etc), to minimize the independence of Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia); or they continue to believe that they can use lies, deception and corruption to get their way through the international community and assimilate Southern Cameroons in the 21st Century.
We can only say here that Lies have a lifespan and in developing the strategy yesterday through Louis Paul Aujoulat to use lies, terror and demagogy to keep Francophones ignorant of history, and attempt to colonize Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia), the French never knew about the future development of the internet, social media and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Who could have imagined in 2017 when Mr. Biya declared war on Southern Cameroons that it is Professor Maurice Kamto (Member of the Curatorium of The Hague Academy of International Law) that would clarify the World on the Decolonization and independence of former colonies and clarify La République du Cameroun on the independence of Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia)?
- THE UN RECOGNIZES THAT A COUNTRY HAD INDEPENDENCE ON THE 1ST OF JANUARY 1960 WHICH IS DIFFERENT FROM THAT WHICH HAD INDEPENDENCE ON THE 1ST OF OCTOBER 1961
With, the mediocre educational orientation imposed in La République du Cameroun by France which constrains students to follow and not think, and elders who are either ignorant or intimidated not to tell the truth, the truth remains the truth that following the explanation given by Professor Maurice Kamto in Montreal in July 2024, the UNGA recognizes the fact that a country exist that had independence on the 1st of January 1960 and another that had independence on the 1st of October 1961 irrespective of what Franophones are intimidated and fooled to believe.
For Francophones who are ignorant, evidence that we are two countries at the United Nations, is the fact that on the 20th of May 2010 Dr. ALI Abdusalam Triki (the President of the 64th General Assembly of the United Nations) came to Cameroon and handed two well framed maps to Mr. Biya; one representing the country that following UNGA Resolution 1608(XV) on the 21 of April 1961 the UNGA chose a Date of independence for it as the 1st of October 1961 and the other, the country which following UNGA Resolution 1349(XIII) of 12 March 1959, the UNGA had chosen a Date of independence for it as the 1st of January 1960. After handing the maps he said to Mr. Biya in French “Voici la carte du Cameroun Britanique…L, histoire en a decidé” “This is the map of British Cameroon. That is how history decided” “History is stubborn and no matter what is done to conceal history, it will not be hidden” said DR. Willibroad DZE NGWA PhD – The Post Newspaper in Yaoundé Feb. 10 2020
This was echoed on Cameroon Radio and Television (CRTV). It was published in the National Newspaper- Cameroon Tribune.
These maps have never been merged and the President of the 64th General Assembly of the UN did not come to Cameroon on the 20th of May 2010 on a pleasure trip from out- of- pocket to hand two maps to Mr. Biya. May 20th is the day La République du Cameroons has chosen as its National Day. The President of the 64 General Assembly of the UN did not come to Cameroun to attend the National Day celebrations either. If he did as some claim, he would have joined Mr. Biya in the celebrations at the May 20th Boulevard.
This is clear indication that the UN is aware that two independent Cameroons exists with distinct territorial boundaries. It cannot be otherwise because the UN cannot federate a non independent state with an independent state on equal status as it did with Cameroon in 1961 to form the Federal Republic of Cameroon. To celebrate 20th May is to comfort citizens of La République du Cameroun in their ignorance that we are one country.
- TO CELEBRATE 20TH MAY IS TO PROMOTE THE FALLACY OF “ONE AND INDIVISIBLE” CAMEROON DERIVED FROM THE MEDIOCRE EDUCATIONAL ORIENTATION IMPOSED IN LA RÉPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN BY FRANCE
It is hidden from Francophones that in the conference in Foumban in July 1961, as much as Ahidjo rejected every proposal for amendments from Foncha’s delegation to the 1960 constitution of La République du Cameroun which French experts accompanying Ahidjo modified and he presented as the a draft of the Federal Constitution, Ahidjo and his delegation at least agreed with Foncha and his delegation that the word “INDIVISIBLE” was to be taken out of the draft constitution because it is baseless. This is spelled out in the letter from the French Ambassador at the time (Mr. Pierre Bernard) to the Secretary of State of Foreign Affairs in Yaoundé at the time on the Foumban Conference dated the 27 July 1961 on Page 8 paragraph 1. (Source;
(Lettre de Jean Pierre-Bernard, (Ambassadeur de France au Cameroun)
A
Monsieur le Secretaire d’Etat aux Affaires Etrangeres, Yaoundé le 27 JUIL. 1961 Page 8 paragraph 1) for Francophones who should research and read.
After the Foumban conference in 1961, this word was never taken out of the constitution as agreed. In his mediocrity and dishonesty, manipulation and deceit, Ahidjo did not present the constitution from Foumban to the West Cameroon House of Assembly (that existed) for ratification because if he did, Parliamentarians would have insisted on the agreement that the word “INDIVISIBLE” that is baseless and senseless, be taken out of the constitution as agreed. How can a country that had independence from the UN following UNGA Resolution 1349 (XIII) on the 13 of March 1959 be indivisible with the country that had independence from the UN following UNGA Resolution 1608(XV) and they form a FEDERATION on equal status.
Besides the lecture of Prof. Maurice Kamto in Montreal in 2024, is it not common knowledge understandable by a child in elementary school that the status of Southern Cameroons in the FEDERATION of 1961 could only be the status of independence, since La République du Cameroun was independent in 1960?
History has it that in a Joint declaration from a meeting held in Douala between Foncha and Ahidjo on the 10-13 of October 1960, it had been agreed that “those entrusted with the affairs of the Unified Cameroon would put the Federal Constitution to the people to pronounce themselves on it”. JN Foncha mentioned this fact in his letter of withdrawal from the Constitutional Talks in 1994. In total dishonesty and manipulation, Ahidjo never did.
The 1961 Constitution was ridiculously ratified by the House of Assembly of East Cameroon and imposed on the country as a Federal Constitution one month before the federation came into being. What demagogy?
Today many innocent Southern Cameroonians (Ambazonians) have been massacred because it is claimed in La République du Cameroun that Cameroon is “ONE AND INDIVISIBLE”. Cameroon is at war today because of a lie turn mantra that La Republic du Cameroun and Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia) are ‘ONE AND INDIVISIBLE’.
If not mediocrity, how does an independent country with a Date of independence chosen by the UN with the attributes that go with it, that voted to federate with another independent country with a Date of independence chosen for it by the UN with the attributes that go with it become “one and indivisible”? By the way, what is the meaning of “One and indivisible” to the Francophone in La République du Cameroun?
The stupidity in this slogan turn mantra is the supposition that La République du Cameroun was independent and Southern Cameroons was not.
This mediocre and myopic thinking also means that the country that had independence following UNGA Res. 1349(XIII) with a territory and intangible territorial boundaries from the UN General Assembly in 1960 following the Latin Maxim UTI POSSEDETIS JURIS exist; and that which had independence following UNGA Res. 1608(XV) with a territory and intangible territorial boundaries from the UN General Assembly in 1961 following the Latin Maxim UTI POSSEDETIS JURIS does not exist or has been assimilated or colonized.
It presupposes too that Resolution 1349(XIII) granting independence to La République du Cameroun as a former UN Class B Trust Territory is bigger, better or interpreted differently from Resolution 1608(XV) granting independence to the former UN class B Trust Territory of Southern Cameroon. Is this not mediocre and stupid thinking?
It presupposes further that the Plebiscite vote of 11 February 1961 was an act of annexation, assimilation, or integration or that in Foumban in 1961 Mr. Ahidjo created his state called today La République du Cameroun that includes Independent Southern Cameroons.
This is false, demagogic and deceit like in all the other cases and only mediocre demagogues can fall for such muddled thinking with all the information or truth on social media today.
Most ridiculous is the pre-supposition that the UN federated independent La Republic du Cameroun with non independent Southern Cameroons on equal status and they have become one country that is indivisible. What mediocrity?
The slogan that we are “INDIVISIBLE” which J.N. Foncha and Ahidjo agreed in Foumban to remove from the Constitution is baseless and we would not promote this thinking that Prof. Melhang Chang qualifies above as stupidity.
Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia) and La République du Cameroun do not have the same educational system; they do not speak the same official language; they do not have the same legal system; they do not have the same values, do not have the same colonial history, do not have the same mentality and do not have the same state culture. When you Challenge a Francophone on the above, he would parrot to you like others that the Bakweris in the South West are not different from the Sawas in the Littoral but he would not tell you that there are fangs in the Southern Region of La République du Cameroun who are same like the Fangs in Gabon, yet Gabon is not part of the German Cameroon they lay claim to today.
- TO CELEBRATE 20TH MAY IS TO PROMOTE THE CONTINUOUS MASSACRE OF INNOCENT AMBAZONIANS BY LA RÉPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN UNDER THE FALLACY OF “GERMAN KAMERUN” DERIVED FROM THE MEDIOCRE EDUCATIONAL ORIENTATION IMPOSED IN LA RÉPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN BY FRANCE.
Francophone Professors have usually used the fallacy of “German kamerun” to deceive the elite and youths and justify the baseless slogan that Southern Cameroons which they have named North West and South West are “one and indivisible” with La République du Cameroun because we were once part of “German Kamerun”. Mediocre use the same fallacy to attempt to integrate, annex and assimilate Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia) into La République du Cameroun. They use it to justify the war and destruction of Southern Cameroonians to make it weak.
It is immaterial to duel on the fact that there is no legal instrument that permits La République du Cameroun to carve out Southern Cameroons into Provinces or Regions in La République du Cameroun because Prof. Maurice Kamto’s lecture above has laid to rest any doubt in the Francophone, even with the educational orientation from France that Southern is a country that had independence from the UN General Assembly with a date of Independence and the attributes that go with it just like La République du Cameroun.
The argument about “German Kamerun” to justify whatever is mental weakness, mediocrity or mental betrayal and ignorance of history of the country that is hidden from Francophones or a lack of the will to think or reflect.
This is because in history it is indicated that when Germany was defeated in the First World War, German Territories all over the world were seized and given to the allied powers in the treaty of Versailles on the 28 June 1919. The German protectorate of Kamerun (German Kamerun) in Central Africa was shared between France and Britain and “German Kamerun” was extinct.
In the sharing, France had 80% and Britain had 20%. Britain named its part British Cameroons. For ease of administration, it divided it into British Southern CameroOns and British Northern CameroOns, and the rest of “German Kamerun” was given to France. France held it as French CameroUn. France later carved out its part of German Kamerun into 5 states; today-Gabon, Cameroun, Chad, Congo and the Central African Republic.
Following UN Resolution 76(b) and 1514, all the states progressed to independence. France gave independence to Chad which was part of German Cameroun on the August 11 1960, gave independence to Central African Republic which was part of German Cameroun on August 13 1960, gave independence to La République du Cameroun which was part of German Cameroun on the 1st of January 1960, and gave independence to the République of Congo which was part of “German Kamerun” on the 15 of August 1960 and gave independence to Gabon which was part of German Kamerun on the 17 of August 1960. Britain gave independence to Southern Cameroons on the 1st of October 1961.
After all this partition through independence, did a “German Kamerun” exist again? How can La République du Cameroun be deceiving the youths and elite by talking of, and laying claim to “German Kamerun” and massacring innocent Southern Cameroonians in a War in 2018 and on whereas “German Kamerun” was extinct in 1919? That is 100 years ago. What mediocrity from the educational orientation from France to force youths to be ignorant of the history of the country?
Would one blame Prof Melhang Chang when he says in his writing “L’Afrique, Un continent échorché.” that “the stupidity of elite in Francophone Africa has no limit”? or Nathalie Yamb when she says in (Le Systeme scolaire Francophone programmé pour echouer- Nathalie Yamb – YouTube) that the educational orientation imposed by the French in former French territories including La République Cameroun is very mediocre and forbids the Francophone from reasoning and so is failing?
La République du Cameroun did not inherit any “German Kamerun” Territory at independence in 1960 because “German Kamerun” was extinct in 1919, and Southern Cameroons was not and is not part of La République du Cameroun. This shall not be imposed on the youths through, manipulation or war. They shall know the truth like others and it will set them free.
Firstly, with simple logic and reasoning, if Southern Cameroons were a part of La République du Cameroun, the 1961 plebiscite would not have been necessary. Southern Cameroons would have simply been returned to or integrated into La République du Cameroun like Ifni to Morocco or Hong Kong to China. Mr. Biya would not have had to slaughter 40.000 innocent people in a senseless war in an attempt to integrate it into La République du Cameroun and then acknowledge in Paris on the 12 of November 2019 that he has failed.
Actually, Mr. Biya has not failed.
But for mediocrity and ignorance, as indicated above, Southern Cameroons had independence like La République du Cameroun from the United Nations General Assembly. One independent country cannot be integrated into another. Under the spell or influence of the mediocre educational orientation from France that Nathalie Yamb condemns in (Le Systeme d’education Francophone programmé pour echouer- Nathalie Yamb – YouTube) Mr. Biya assumes that he can through territorial theft and fraud deceive the international community and integrate Southern Cameroons into La République du Cameroun using lies, intimidation, barbarism and a fallacious dogma “German Kamerun”. It will not happen; not during the social media era when every youth can have the above information through his ANDROID Phone. Lies have a lifespan.
Secondly, if Southern Cameroons was part of “German Kamerun” as La République du Cameroun claims, what happened to the independence Southern Cameroons gained in 1961?
Thirdly, if according to La République du Cameroun, they inherited “German Kamerun” in 1960, why is La République du Cameroun not laying claim on Chad, Gabon, Congo and Central African Republic which were truly parts of “German Kamerun” that were given to France in 1919? What deceit and mediocrity?
Why did La République du Cameroun which was independent in 1960 not get the UN to integrate Southern Cameroons to it in 1961 since it was part of its country from “German Kamerun” instead of negotiating to form a federation with it on equal status according to its Note Verbale No. F.M. 68 (1041/60) dated 16 December 1960 to the British Government on the 24 December 1960.
This mental weakness displayed by Francophones in La République du Cameroun that results from the fact that the history of their country is hidden from them, and the mediocre political, educational and socio-cultural orientation imposed on them from France through the cooperation agreements of 1959 is nothing to celebrate. To clarify this lie from La République du Cameroon, and be more precise, this is what Professor Carlson Anyangwe writes in his book “The secrets of an aborted Decolonization”- 2010), “the facts are clear and unassailable. German Kamerun died at Versailles in 1919. French Cameroun emerged as a legal and political entity in 1922 by act of the League of Nations. That is when Biya’s country came into existence.
It is that country with internationally defined borders that achieved independence from France on 1 January 1960. On that date Cameroun Republic succeeded to the territory of French Cameroun. Cameroun Republic did not succeed, and could not possibly have succeeded, to German Kamerun, extinct since 1919. Biya and his regime in decay are guilty of muddled thinking, if not of outright fraud”.
10. TO CELEBRATE 20TH MAY IS TO PROMOTE THE CONTINUOUS MASSACRE OF INNOCENT AMBAZONIANS BY LA RÉPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN BECAUSE OF DECEIT OF YOUTHS IN LA RÉPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN WITH THE INTERCHANGEABLE USE OF THE WORDS “UNIFICATION” AND “RE-UNIFICATION” TO MEAN THE SAME THING.
Because the history of La République du Cameroun is hidden from them, mediocre professors and elite have continued to deceive the youths with the use of the words “Unification” and “Re-Unification” to justify the celebration of 20th May as a national holiday in La République du Cameroun. This is mental weakness, mediocrity and pure deceit and manipulation of the Youths and some gullible and mediocre elite.
In history, when Southern Cameroons chose in the plebiscite of 11 February 1961 to join La République du Cameroun after independence, it was to “Unite in a federation of two states with equal status” as agreed in the Note Verbal from La République du Cameroun of 16 December 1960 to the British Government cited above.
In history, when Foncha met with Ahidjo at the Foumban conference to discuss the federation, the banners that were put in the hall by the host (la République du Cameroun) to welcome Foncha and his delegation read “Vivre le Cameroun unifié”.
It did not say “vivre le Cameroun re-unifié.” How did this French style deformation of history of unifié becoming re-unifié come about?
It was understood by all that Southern Cameroons was unifying with La République du Cameroun in the terms set forth in the document “THE TWO ALTERNATIVES” that is hidden from Francophones.
It was understood that Southern Cameroons was unifying with La République du Cameroun on terms discussed and agreed between Ahidjo (heading the delegation from La République du Cameroun) and J.N. Foncha (heading the delegation from Southern Cameroons) that led to the issuance of a Joint Declaration in the meeting of the 16 December 1960 in Douala.
So, when did “unification” as understood above become “Re-Unification”? The stupidity displayed by elite when they use these words interchangeably in an attempt to falsify the history of La République du Cameroun is nothing to celebrate. “History is stubborn and no matter what is done to conceal history, it will not be hidden “said Dr. Willibroad Dze Ngwa (PhD) The Post Newspaper in Yaoundé Feb. 10 2020.
To undermine the fact that Southern Cameroons is an independent state that joined La République du Cameroun, an equally independent state, because the history of La République du Cameroun is hidden from Francophones, some ignorant Francophones in their mediocrity, usually talk of re-unification of Cameroun to create confusion and give the impression to the youths that Southern Cameroons was once part of La République du Cameroun and re-united. That way, nobody would think of Southern Cameroons as an independent state.
These, mediocre have been disgraced today by Professor Maurice Kamto in his description of the decolonization process in his lecture on International Law and Uncompleted Decolonization in Montreal in July 2024.
When did Cameroun move from “Vivre le Cameroun unifie” to “Vivre le Cameroun re-unifie”. The Note “Verbale of 24 December 1960” from La République du Cameroun to the British Government spoke of unification and not reunification.
Worse of all, in this self deceit and mediocrity, is the fact that La République du Cameroun cannot talk of unity when it has no union treaty with Southern Cameroons as per Art. 102(1) of the UN Charter of 1945. It is simple logic that there can be no Unity without a union.
To hide this fact from Francophones, we remember that Lord Justice AYAH Paul ABINE (a Southern Cameroonian retired Judge of the Supreme Court) was not only brutalized but arrested without an arrest warrant and detained for 8 months in Kondengui prison without trial and later released; to intimidate him because he reminded the government in Yaoundé that “there is no union treaty between Southern Cameroons and La République du Cameroun as per to Art. 102(1) of the UN Charter of 1945”. The harassment of Chief Justice Ayah Paul Abine to hide the truth from Francophones is not different from the harassment of Nathalie Yamb by the French for exposing the fact that the system of education imposed by the French in its former territories in Africa (including La République du Cameroun) is mediocre and trains followers and not thinkers. (Le Systeme Scolaire Francophone programmé pour echouer- Nathalie Yamb – YouTube) (Google: Nathalie Yamb: interdiction d’entrée et de sejour en France: Ma REACTION-YouTube). The French went as far as to make her “Persona non grata in France” What mediocrity? Southern Cameroons is a victim of this mediocrity and French Neo-colonialism today.
Lies and distortions of history which is deliberately hidden from Francophones are relics of French Neo-colonialism which are not worth celebrating. Not by Ambazonians. Lies never run long distance, reason why they must be supported by thousand other lies whereas the truth is indestructible (Emmanuel Ambe 2019). Youths shall know the truth like others and the truth will set you free.
11. THE PROBLEM OF SOUTHERN CAMEROONS (AMBAZONIA) WITH LARÉPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN IS COLONIZATION (COLONIALISM) IN THE MOST BRUTAL AND PRIMITIVE FORM BY LA RÉPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN
While Mr. Biya and his predecessor embarked on a policy to assimilate Southern Cameroons into La République du Cameroun since independence and try to terrorize people with arrests, torture, imprisonment, massacres and genocide to silence, the international community was not so silent. Studies were carried out by non-Cameroonians that were appalled at what was happening to Southern Cameroons and the world is informed. We are aware that Francophones are not privy to this information.
Below is a letter that was deposited in the office of The UN High Commissioner for Human Right a few days to the 40th session of the United Nations Human Rights commission on the colonization and genocide in Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia) on the 25th of February 2019.
This letter or statement was written to The United Nations Human Rights Commission by the Secretary General of the International Peace Research Association (Foundation-IPRA) Prof. Matt Meyer after a study of the situation in La République du Cameroun. (The IPRA-Foundation is the World’s leading Consortium of University based Professors, Scholars, Students and Community Leaders with mission to advance the field of Peace research through rigorous investigation into the causes of conflict and examination of alternatives to violence) Source- iprafoundation.org
It reads thus:
“There is no longer any controversy: leading British historical and legal agencies and none other than French President Emmanuel Macron have equally asserted: Colonialism was and is a Crime against Humanity.
As such, United Nations protocols empower all peoples and parties to act, with the “responsibility to prevent genocide” and the “responsibility to protect.”
It is not so useful, in the case of the Cameroons or Ambazonia, to spend time debating who most at fault is. Is it the government in Yaoundé, or the man—Paul Biya—who has been president since I was nineteen, the longest-ruling leader in the world? Is it the original French colonialists, who along with their British counterparts set up this competitive, divided-we-fall scramble way back when? Is it the UN, in failing to oversee the promises made decades ago? Perhaps it is the children of Ambazonia, who—frustrated at increasing police and military violence and little to show for decades of completely nonviolent and unarmed actions against their colonial predicament—pick up some stones to defend themselves over the past year? There is enough guilt to go around, and we say again: it is not so useful to spend time debating who is most at fault.
The UN-mandated responsibility to protect and the responsibility to prevent genocide, especially in cases of contemporary, ongoing colonialism, is a responsibility of all of us. It is certainly the responsibility of UN member-states, with an emphasis on those who currently make up the Human Rights Council which soon meets in Geneva. But it is also the responsibility of NGOs, organizations like IPRA with consultative status with ECOSOC, and yes—the responsibility of the media as well—to remember that even conflicts which appear small in places which are not easily found on a map require our urgent attention and solidarity. We need only reflect upon the upcoming 25th anniversary of the Rwandan genocide and the ongoing tensions in the Great Lakes region to be clear about that.
I represent a UNESCO-affiliated organization of scholars, academics, researchers, and students from roughly one hundred countries in every region of the world. We of all people know that the information is neither inaccessible nor in doubt. Despite sometimes misleading reports from even the most reputable and well-known agencies in the human rights field, it is not too difficult to ascertain who most at risk is and who is mostly armed in the north-western corner between Cameroon and Nigeria.
Despite recent news that the U.S. will suspend security assistance to Cameroon because of its poor human rights record, we must not be over-joyed or lulled into a sense of false accomplishment. Our colleague Adotei Akwei, Amnesty International’s deputy director here in the USA, noted that “Cameroonian security forces have indiscriminately killed, arrested, and tortured people, firing on crowds, displacing thousands of civilians, and destroying entire villages with impunity.” Until all that has come to a complete end, calls like this one to the UNHRC which we sign onto today, are vital in both accumulating incontrovertible information to share with the world forum and in stemming the tide of violence, at least in the short term.
In the long run, we repeat: Colonialism was, and as in Ambazonia today COLONIALISM STILL IS, a Crime Against Humanity. Until colonialism is ended, our work will not be complete”. (Source: www.iprafoundation.org (YouTube)
There is therefore no doubt anywhere in the world that what Southern Cameroonians (Ambazonians) are going through in a war described by Tibor Nagy (the former American Under Secretary for African Affairs) as senseless and by the Monsignor Kleda (Metropolitan Arch Bishop of the Economic Capital Douala) as aimless is genocide and brutal sanguinary colonization by La République du Cameroun. So, what is there for Ambazonians to celebrate? Southern Cameroons never experienced such barbarism, torture, and massacre under the Germans or the British as is experienced today because of French imposed mediocrity in La République du Cameroun and French Neo-colonialism.
12. TO CELEBRATE 20TH MAY WITH LA RÉPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN IS CELEBRATING THE BUILDING OF A COUNTRY ON LIES AND DISHONESTY BECAUSE OF THE FRENCH IMPOSED MEDIOCRE EDUCATIONAL ORIENTATION IN LA RÉPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN OF FOLLOWING LIES PROPAGATED BY THE ELITE AND NOT THINKING; WHICH IS NOT ANGLO-SAXON/AMBAZONIAN
In the video by Nathalie Yamb titled Le Systeme Scolaire Francophone programmé pour echouer, she makes a difference between Francophone and Anglo-Saxon education. It ought not to be because; educational orientation should be the same whether English, Chinese, Russian, Indian or French. It should train students to have a critical mind to think and not just followers. But the system of educational orientation introduced in Francophone Africa by the French through the works of the Cardinal of Lille- (Monsignor Liénart) and the works of Louis Paul Aujoulat from 1935- is not only mediocre but orientates elite in La République du Cameroun to be followers and not critical thinkers. They have built the country on lies and dishonesty just because France instructs it so and they are constrained not to think and Southern Cameroons is a victim.

Some examples of lies on which the country is built that proof our point are:
a. In history, Foncha and Ahidjo held meetings and discussed about the independence of Southern Cameroons and federation with La République du Cameroun on the 15 -17 July 1960, in August 1960, on the 10-13 October 1960 and on the 1-3 December 1960. On the 21st of April 1961 at the United Nations, Ahidjo voted against the independence of Southern Cameroons because France wanted it so. He forgets all he discussed with Mr. Foncha and followed France like a zombie. What deceit? Today, out of fear of France, no Francophone dare mention that Southern Cameroons had independence following UNGA Resolution 1608(XV) just like La République du Cameroun had independence following UNGA Resolution 1349(XIII). Today, they are betrayed by Prof. Maurice Kamto’s lecture in Montreal in July 2024 and verifiable facts from UN documents
b. In history, prior to 1961 in the Foumban conference of 17 to 22 July, Ahidjo agreed with Foncha that whatever was arrived at in Foumban was going to be presented in their respective parliaments for them to “pronounce themselves on it”. On the 6th of August 1961, the so-called French expert who drew up the La République du Cameroun constitution of 1960 amended the constitution and it was presented to La République du Cameroon’s Parliament and ratified as the Federal Constitution. Ahidjo proclaimed it as a federal constitution on the 1st of September 1961 when the federation was created effectively on the 1st of October 1961. Ridiculously, to the so-called French experts, this was ok as a way to create a Federation between two countries. What mediocrity and deceit?
Ahidjo never presented the federal constitution to the Parliament of West Cameroon to pronounce itself on it as agreed. What dishonesty?
c. In history, Ahidjo proclaimed a federal constitution 1 month before the federation was created and such mediocrity did not mean anything to his so-called French experts nor has it ever meant anything to Francophone elite and intellectuals who simply have to follow what Ahidjo did as dictated by French so-called experts and not think.
Critical thinking indicates that between the 1st of September 1961 to the 30th of September 1961, Cameroun had a federal constitution without a federation. It is usually said that “a beautiful woman cannot give more than she has”. Did the so-called French experts know better? What of intellectuals today who talk about Cameroun being “ONE AND INDIVISIBLE”, talk of Southern Cameroons being part of “German Kamerun” in 2016, talk of “Unification and Re-unification of Cameroun to distort the history of the country just like the French distorted the history of Francophone African countries for many years and only admitted in 2014 in the French Senate. Google L’AFRIQUE ET NOTRE AVENIR.
d. In history, Article 47 of Ahidjo’s Federal constitution of 1961 stipulated that the form of the state (Federal République of Cameroon) should never be changed in whatever circumstance. In 1972, according to Eno Meyomesse (Journalist), the French ordered Ahidjo to change the constitution and the form of the state from The Federal Republic of Cameroon to United République of Cameroun because they wanted to exploit oil in Southern Cameroons. Ahidjo followed the instructions from France like a zombie and lied to Cameroonians that he was changing the form of the state for the sake of national unity. What deceit? There is no unity without a union.
e. Worse still, according to the Francophone Journalist Eno Meyomesse in an article titled “Ahidjo’s Forceful Takeover” published on Cameroon Post line on the Net on June 3rd 2015” Ahidjo changed the form of the state with a fake referendum, that never had any “NO” ballots but two ballots with “OUI” in French and “YES” in English. What deceit and dishonesty?
f. In 1984, Mr. Biya unilaterally changed the name of the state form United Republic of Cameroun to La République du Cameroun which was the name of his country before the unification in a Federation in 1961. He pulled out the one star from the flag that represented Southern Cameroons. To Mr. Biya, pulling out the star was consolidating National Unity. There is no treaty of Union between La République du Cameroun and Southern Cameroons, so there was nothing to consolidate. How do you consolidate national unity by pulling out a star from the flag that represents one of the components of the country?
It was later confirmed by Mr. Abouem à Tchoyi (Former Governor) in the North West and South West Provinces of La République du Cameroun in an article published on social media titled Cameroon-Opinion: The Anglophone Problem could become the new Boko Haram that Mr. Biya’s action was a phagocytosis of Southern Cameroons and an attempt to wipe out Southern Cameroons even in symbols. What deceit?
g. Ahidjo’s violation of his constitution in 1972 with a Fake referendum and the unilateral change of the name of the country in 1984 and removing one star from the flag, was an attempt to integrate the 20% Southern Cameroonians into Francophones; a sinister plan Mr. Biya would only reveal on the 12/11 2019 in a conference in Paris and acknowledge that he had failed. As indicated above, he had not failed but it cannot be done. But for the mediocrity from the French imposed educational orientation and developing a country with falsehood, how can Mr. Biya and his government have as policy to integrate Southern Cameroons that was decolonized by the UN as explained by Prof. Maurice Kamto above into La République du Cameroun that was decolonized by the UN following the same procedure with the same attributes? Besides the mediocre educational orientation imposed on Francophones by France, Mr. Biya cannot fuse independent Southern Cameroons into La République du Cameroun. It is simple common sense. The position of the United Nations on the change of bothers is indicated very clearly above by the President of the UN General Assembly in 2019.
h. There is the fallacy in La République du Cameroun about “German Kamerun”. In their mediocrity, intellectuals in La République du Cameroun are deceiving youths that La République du Cameroun and Southern Cameroons are one and indivisible because they were once “German Kamerun”. As indicated above, there was no German Kamerun for La République du Cameroun to inherit in 1960. What mediocrity?
Francophones in La République du Cameroun never mention the francophone countries (Chad, Central African République, Congo and Gabon as once “German Kamerun” or lay claim to them. With their mediocre educational system and orientation, they build the country on such lies and expect everyone to follow the deceit.
i. Francophones are not aware that in the history that is hidden from them, at a Conference in Brazzaville on January 30 to February 8 1944, General De Gaulle, President of France) had declared to French colonies in Africa including French Cameroun (today La République du Cameroun) that “in the civilizing works accomplished by France in the colonies they should rule out the idea of ever being autonomous, rule out the possibility of ever evolving out of the French Empire and rule out the eventual constitution even in the future of self government in the colonies” and French Cameroun was comfortable with that
(Google: The Brazzaville Conference 1944). The Cooperation Agreements signed with the colonies including La République du Cameroun (which are commonly called Pact for the continuation of colonization) were an emanation from the above agreement.
What is horrible about the Pact and its consequences is that the educational orientation from the Agreements does not permit the Francophones in La République du Cameroun, to know that without control of your educational system, your currency, your socio-cultural and Political orientation, you are not independent.
For example, the educational orientation has prevented Francophone elite and intellectuals not to see that their history was distorted by the French until they were informed by the French Senate in 2014, (Google: Report NO. 104 (2013-2014) on the 29 October 2013 during the 2013-2014 Ordinary Session of the French Senate also titled L’AFRIQUE ET NOTRE AVENIR.
They do not see that the currency imposed on them (Franc CFA) which is not accepted in France as money is not money even after French Parliamentarians, academicians, politicians, intellectuals, etc tell them that it was meant to destroy them (Google: Marie Le Pen and the Franc cfa (YouTube) and it is ruining their countries and economies (Google: Motion de rejet prèalable du projet de loi portant reforme du Franc cfa vers L’ECO (YouTube).
Some French intellectuals go as far as to style the elite in Francophone Africa from the Zombie-type educational orientation as “stupid beyond limits”. It has made them not to see that an independent country (Southern Cameroons) should not be Provinces or Regions in another country and cannot be a “special status territory” in another independent country.
The process of decolonization explained by Prof. Maurice Kamto above is explicit enough for critical thinkers to know this.
*13. THE MEDIOCRITY IMPOSED ON FRANCOPHONES IS SUCH THAT ANYBODY WHO HAS ATTEMPTED TO RE-ORIENT THEM OUT OF THEIR MEDIOCRITY BY TELLING THEM THE TRUTH IN THE HISTORY OF THEIR COUNTRY ABOUT MAY 20TH IS THROWN IN PRISON OR FORCED INTO EXILE TO HIDE THE TRUTH FROM THE YOUTHS
Examples:
a. the late Albert Womah Mukong was jailed for saying among other things that the referendum of May 20th 1972 was fake; as confirmed by Eno Meyomesse in the Article “Ahidjo’s Forceful Takeover” above;
b. Lawyer Godji Dinka was jailed for saying that the federation of 1961 never respected what was stipulated in the document titled “THE TWO ALTERNATIVES” which is hidden from elite and students in La République du Cameroun whose history is not written;
c. Eno Meyomesse (a francophone journalist) was jailed because he wrote in an article titled “Ahidjo’s Forceful Takeover” that the referendum of 1972 was conducted because France wanted to exploit oil in Southern Cameroons and they advised Ahidjo to cancel the federation; which he did with a fake referendum that had only one ballot paper with “YES” in English and “QUI” in French for the referendum question. It never had a ballot paper with “NO”, and that to prevent any opposition by West Cameroonians to the referendum, Ahidjo told a lie that Nigerian troops were about to attack West Cameroon and deployed troops from La République du Cameroun to West Cameroon. Nowhere in the history of West Cameroon or the history of Nigeria is it registered that Nigeria contemplated attacking West Cameroon for any reason before or in 1972. Eno Meyomesse wrote that La République du Cameroun is the only country in the world that does not celebrate the day of its independence or liberation, preferring to celebrate May 20 as a national day when it is the day that it conducted a fake referendum 10 years after independence that violated the 1961 constitution of the country. What mediocrity and dishonesty?
d. Dr. Patrice Nganang (a Francophone University Lecturer) was jailed for writing a book educating Francophones on the “Anglophone problem”. The book was banned and he was made “Persona Non Grata” in La République du Cameroun (his own country);
e. Justice Ayah Paul Abine (An Anglophone Supreme Court Judge) was arrested without an arrest warrant and detained for 8 months without trial and released for saying that “there is no Union treaty between La République du Cameroun as spelled out in art 102(1) of the UN Charter of 1945 and that Southern Cameroons cannot be a Special Status territory in La République du Cameroun because the two countries federated in 1961 as independent countries on equal status” and one can be a Special Status territory in another. We believe the lecture by Prof. Maurice Kamto in Montreal above on the decolonization process and its attributes leaves no body in doubt that Justice Ayah Paul Abine was right. Pure intimidation to hide the truth in history from the youths;
f. Michel Biem Tong (a Francophone Web Journalist) was arrested and detained and later released and forced to go on exile for advocating that 20th May should be cancelled because it distorted the history of the country. How long would La République du Cameroun continue to hide the truth in its history from the Youth in the social media era when they can Google and read it with a click of their android phones? How long would the elite in La République du Cameroun continue to hide documented truth in the history of La République du Cameroun from the youth through harassment, intimidation and detention of historians in the social media age?
This attitude lends credence to what Prof. Melhang Chang says in his book L’AFRIQUE UN CONTINENT ÉCHORCHÉ on social media about Francophone elite that “they are mediocre, their stupidity has no limit, they are harmful and one should pity them”. They are so harmful that their mediocrity and stupidity has led to a baseless and aimless war that has caused the death of more than 40.000 innocent Southern Cameroonians (Ambazonians), the careless destruction of 400 villages and the loss of more than 2000 soldiers trained at enormous cost by La République du Cameroun state. And they want us to celebrate May 20th as a holiday in Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia)? What is there to celebrate?
- TO CELEBRATE 20TH MAY IS TO CONTINUE TO PROMOTE THE STUPIDITY DERIVED FROM THE MEDIOCRE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM AND ORIENTATION FROM FRANCE THAT ENCOURAGES THE TRAINING OF “FOLLOWERS” AND NOT “THINKERS” WHICH MAKES THEM IMAGINE THAT SOUTHERN CAMEROONS (AMBAZONIA) CAN GIVE UP ITS INDEPENDENCE AND BE A “SPECIAL STATUS TERRITORY” IN LA RÉPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN BECAUSE OF FEAR
The history of La République du Cameroun and Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia) that is hidden from Francophones that makes it impossible for Southern Cameroons to be a “Special Status territory” in La République du Cameroun has been revealed above. All that is required is for the NEVER AGAIN GENERATION YOUTHS in La République du Cameroun to break out of imposed mediocrity and think, than continue to follow lies and get deceived by the formatted elite because of the educational orientation from France. We are aware that before the social media era, the French would instruct take this advice be taken for rebellion because they are not supposed to think as explained by Nathalie Yamb above, but times have evolved.
Southern Cameroons shall not bow to the stupidity and colonization to be a “special status territory” in La République du Cameroun irrespective of how many Ambazonians you kill or corrupt with money as Louis Paul Aujoulat thought La République du Cameroun in his works Google:(www.coupsfrancs.com/voici-comment-la-france-a-deforme-les-elites-africaines-par-un-,-paul-aujoulat/)
The following reasons that count in our resolve need to be emphasized:
a. La République du Cameroun had independence as a Class B UN Trust territory from the UN General Assembly in 1960 following UNGA Resolution 1349 effective 1st January 1960 and Southern Cameroons had independence as a Class B UN Trust territory from the UN General Assembly in 1961 following UNGA Resolution 1608 effective 1st October 1961. UN Resolutions granting independence to UN Trust territories don’t have varying interpretations; like mediocre want the youths in La République du Cameroun to believe.
b. No UN General Assembly Resolution granting independence to a UN Class B Trust territory is bigger, better or stronger than another. It is mediocrity and a few corrupt and deformed elite that think otherwise against facts and history.
c. An independent country as per the lecture of Prof. Maurice Kamto above on the decolonization process and the above resolutions cannot and should not be a “special status territory” in another country. Only deformed elite from the mediocre educational orientation decried by Nathalie Yamb above can think otherwise and believe they would impose it on Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia) with an Anglo-Saxon educational orientation with the gun because we would be intimidated and frightened to be stupid. They are wrong.
d. Francophones may not know that the “special status territory” garbage that La République du Cameroun is trying to use to manifest its mediocrity by fooling gullible and corrupt Southern Cameroonians to give up their independence, emanates from the idea of special status territories in France. French special status territories are Martinique, Guadeloupe and Ile Maurice. What makes them special status territories is that they can vote for the French President but nobody from there can aspire to or be voted as President of France. Similarly, the French came and told La République du Cameroun when John Fru Ndi (from Southern Cameroons) won the Presidential election in 1992, that a Southern Cameroonian cannot be President in La République du Cameroun and they believe from their educational orientation that it is an achievement whereas, it is simple reality. Fru Ndi like Akere Muna and the rest are not citizens of La République du Cameroun and should not be President in La République du Cameroun. Professor Maurice Kamto and other Francophone intellectuals cannot dispute this after his Lecture on the decolonization process in Montreal in 2024.
That should explain to the average Francophone intellectual who reflects, why Mr. Charles Pasqua (from France) representing the French President (Mr. Mitterrand) announced on the corridors of Unity Palace in Yaoundé after the Presidential elections in 1992 when Fru Ndi won Mr. Biya, that “An Anglophone (Southern Cameroonian) cannot be President in La République du Cameroun; NEVER”. Mr. Fru Ndi was put under house arrest for 8 months until Mr. Biya was declared President. Google: Madam Henriette Ekwe on Radio Balafon on the 10/03/2020)
That is why they want to make Southern Cameroons a “special status territory” in La République du Cameroun. What mediocrity? We would not be fooled again with lies or intimidated.
- TO CELEBRATE MAY 20th IS TO LEGITIMIZE THE FAKE REFERENDUM OF 1972, AND CONTINUE TO AID LA RÉPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN TO BENEFIT FROM A CRIME.
What is the history behind 20th May that is hidden from Francophone youths and students through intimidation of historians, barbarism and detentions?
History has it that in 1962, the Algerian war of independence ended. Algeria became independent and according to Mr. Eno Meyomesse (Journalist), Algeria nationalized all French assets in the oil sector. After that, France remembered that it had discovered oil in Logbaba in Douala, and at the time of Unification, large oil reserves had been discovered in West Cameroon. It could not comfortably exploit the oil in West Cameroon when the Biafra war was ragging in Nigeria and the cause was of a fight to control oil. Eno Meyomesse says that France thought that the only way to exploit the oil in West Cameroon was to create a unitary state by putting an end to the Federation in Cameroon. This way, it could exploit the oil in West Cameroon through the cooperation Agreements it signed with La République du Cameroun in 1959 without question. France came out with a plant to abolish the federation.
According to an article published by the Francophone Journalist Eno Meyomesse translated and published on Cameroon Post line on the Net on June 3rd 2015 titled “Ahidjo’s Forceful Takeover”, France invited Ahidjo to France and ordered him to abolish the federation. He returned from France on the 5th of June 1972 and summoned Parliament on the 7th of June I972 and announced the abolition of the Federation. Ahidjo in his mediocrity and semi-illiteracy (his level of education was Primary school), presented the abolition to Cameroonians as a way to cut government expenditure in Cameroon because the Federal government and the government then in West Cameroon (Former Southern Cameroons) and East Cameroun (Former French Cameroon) were expensive to run. According to Eno Meyomesse in the article above, to intimidate West Cameroonians and create fear and panic in them not to challenge the referendum in 1972, Ahidjo lied to the nation that Nigerian troops were about to attack West Cameroon. He used the scare to invade West Cameroon with troops prior to the referendum.
Nowhere in history is there indication that Nigerian troops wanted to attack West Cameroon for any reason prior to or in 1972. This was false and demagogic. Ahidjo was a liar. Ahidjo lied about the constitution in 1961; Ahidjo lied prior to the referendum in 1972; he lied during the referendum and lied after the referendum. What mediocrity and crimes?
Eno Meyomesse further indicates that the referendum of 1972 was fake because it had only two ballot papers for the referendum question; one having “YES” and the other “Oui” which means “Yes” in French. There was no ballot paper for “No”. What demagogy in nation building? What is most scandalous in the history of La République du Cameroun is that the 20th of May which is the day Ahmadou Ahidjo (the first President of La République du Cameroun) conducted a fake referendum to abolish the Federation and by so doing violated Art. 47 of the Federal Constitution of 1961 which is an offence in Law, is chosen as the national day and celebrated and this mediocrity does not bother anybody including the elite, intellectuals and Army Generals in La République du Cameroun. The likelihood is that they are afraid of France to tell the truth to the youths.
On the contrary Southern Cameroonians (Ambazonians) who complained about such lies and demagogy and refused to celebrate were usually arrested and put in prison and it has been so for the last 58 years until Southern Cameroons restored its independence in 2017. What mediocrity? As we progress in the actualization of our independence, besides the above facts in history that are hidden from Francophones, it is important we reemphasize that Ambazonians would never celebrate May 20th as a holiday for the following reasons:
a. May 20th is the day that the so-called federal constitution of 1961 which though not ratified by the West Cameroon House of Assembly as required, was violated by Ahmadou Ahidjo especially Article 47. Celebrating it is a treasonable offence. You should not be ashamed to accept it. It is the truth.
b. May 20th is the day that following the mediocre educational system imposed by France in La République du Cameroun, Ahidjo followed instructions from France to violate the constitution of the country without thinking. You cannot be celebrating this crime.
c. May 20th is the day of the fake referendum conducted by Ahidjo with no “NO” ballot paper at the polls but two papers bearing “OUI” in French and “YES” in English to the referendum question; hence the referendum was illegal and thus null and void. You should not be ashamed to acknowledge it. It is the truth.
d. May 20th is the day the federation of La République du Cameroun and Southern Cameroons organized and sanctioned by the United Nations was abolished on the instructions of France because France wanted to exploit oil in West Cameroon and we should not follow you like zombies to celebrate.
e. May 20th is a day of shame for the nation of La République du Cameroun. A celebration of fraud, deceit, dishonesty and mediocrity. Mr. Albert Dzongang (a Francophone former member of Parliament) explained this better in the TV program «La verite en Face on Equinox TV on the 16 may 2021. Mr Albert Dzongang reiterated that celebrating 20th May as a national day is celebrating fraud and deceit. Mr. Michel Biem Tong (a Francophone Web journalist also explained like Mr. Nzongang on YouTube in his vidio Il faut bannir La Fete nationale du 20 Mai au Cameroun-Michel Biem Tong-YouTube). He said 20th May celebrations should be banned.
f. Finally, to celebrate 20th May is to continue to think stupid that citizens from Southern Cameroons who are fighting senseless and baseless barbarism from mediocrity in La République du Cameroun are terrorists.
g. To Louis Noe Rigobert Mbangan Nkainje commonly called (Mbombog Mbengan Nkainje) a Journalist and Political Sociologist on Equinoxe TV, 20th May has nothing to do with National Unity. It represents more a lack of political will to solve the Anglophone problem. He actually styles what happened on May 20th 1972 as a constitutional coup d’état in which President Ahidjo violated Art. 47 of the Federal Constitution of 1961.
We believe, the intellectuals, elite, youths and the NEVER AGAIN GENERATION in La République du Cameroun would not continue to choose to be and remain mediocre when Nathalie Yamb has pointed the source of their mediocrity to them on social media in (Le Système Scolaire Francophone programmé pour echouer- Nathalie Yamb – YouTube).
Secondly, as declared in the French Senate in 2014, the distorted history of La République du Cameroun shall be rewritten by French and Cameroonian historians telling them the truth and the truth shall set them free. (Google: Report NO. 104 (2013-2014) on the 29 October 2013 during the 2013-2014 Ordinary Session of the French Senate.
WE SHALL NOT BE INTIMIDATED Accept our best regards, Ambazonia Students Caucus Home Front ASS – 013
