The publication of The Independentist’s book reviews on Communal Liberalism and the Glossary on Decentralisation in Cameroon immediately caught the attention of Dr Martin Mungwa, Secretary of State for Communication of the Government of the Federal Republic of Ambazonia. Struck by the depth and relevance of the analysis, Dr Mungwa reached out to the editorial team to request an in-depth interview.
In preparation for this high-level exchange, our Editor-in-Chief at the London Bureau, Ali Dan Ismael, revisited both texts and meticulously combed through their contents. What he uncovered confirms what many have long suspected: these works are not reformist guides, but instruments of ideological domination.
Together, Communal Liberalism and the Glossary on Decentralisation serve as two volumes of the same political doctrine—what Dr Mungwa calls “Biya’s Mein Kampf”—a calculated strategy to undermine Ambazonian identity through centralised governance cloaked in bureaucratic language.
The upcoming exclusive interview will dissect key themes identified in the reviews—ranging from the illusion of financial autonomy to the dismantling of traditional leadership—and reveal how these texts are being weaponised to perpetuate CPDM control over Ambazonia.
Stay tuned as we bring you this critical conversation, featuring insights from Dr Mungwa alongside contributions from Jennifer McChriston and our Bokwango Correspondent, Joseph FritzMcBobe.
