Letters to the Editor

Another fervent reader of The Independentistnews writes to the editor in reaction to Comrade Francis Mbah’s call for unity but opts to stay anonymous for security reasons.

Letter to the Editor

Thank you a million times for this robust and much-needed response to enablers who front as revolutionary movements.

As you may recall, I stated clearly—and early—that we must confront the Kondegui cabal head-on. When I warned that the so-called “unity warriors” disrupting the Home Front were being commandeered from Kondegui, it was not rhetoric; it was diagnosis.

Maurice Kamto was tactically sent to Kondegui to work on the psyches of our compatriots—and he succeeded. You will bear me witness to his posture after his release, particularly during his so-called worldwide tour that included Canada. He refused to receive our compatriots who attended his jamboree dressed in our national colours. That refusal was not accidental. It was the green light he received from Kondegui.

He mistook that green light—channeled through France—as evidence that he was being groomed to become the next president of a “re-united” Republic of Cameroon.

I also stated publicly, following Albert Nzongang’s interview, that Kamto had met and struck a deal with the Kondegui 10-1—including Wilfred Tassang—whereby Kamto, as future President of La République du Cameroun, would appoint them as ministers, with Ayuk Tabe positioned as Vice-President. At the time, these warnings were dismissed. No one took them seriously. Today, history is catching up.

I am encouraged that the Government of Ambazonia is now acting proactively to dismantle these lies—lies that have directly contributed to the deaths of some of our finest freedom fighters.

The so-called Ambazonian Coalition Team (ACT) became the playground where these destructive plots were amplified. We of SCARM denounced those proceedings consistently, warning that they were harming the revolution. Unfortunately, we did not receive full backing from Mr. “I-Brought-the-Deal,” who was working in cahoots with actors determined to bring down the then Interim Government under President Samuel Ikome Sako.

For similar—if not worse—reasons, we also fell out with the SCNC, whose agenda never truly included the independence of the Southern Cameroons. Lumping SCARM with such groups is a misnomer. We broke away from CAM as far back as 1993, after being betrayed by both the SDF and the SCNC, who in turn portrayed us as the “secessionist” problem while pursuing accommodation with the system.

We joined ACT only because we believed it was meant to take the revolution to its logical conclusion: the independence of the Southern Cameroons.

That is precisely why we refused to participate in the Canadian jamboree—and were subsequently insulted for refusing to toe the line of other organizations within ACT.

Our unflinching support for the Government-in-Exile bears clear testimony to where we stand. Please do not lump us with those actively wrecking the people’s revolution.

Once again, thank you for this forthright response to an enabler masquerading as a revolutionary. We have read the signs of the times since 1993, and we have not wavered—not once—in our commitment to liberate our people from the bondage of France, acting through La République du Cameroun, its vassal state.
