Ambazonia’s Vice President Fuh Neba Steve addresses the Mezam County leadership and stakeholders meeting.

22 November 2025

Fellow Ambazonians,
My dear brothers and sisters of Mezam,

Today, we gather not simply as leaders, but as custodians of a national mission. We gather here with a solemn responsibility to focus, to unite, and to drive this struggle forward with discipline, clarity and courage.

Mezam has always stood at the heart of our liberation effort. This county has produced leaders, thinkers, organizers, warriors, and visionaries whose sacrifices have shaped the path we walk today. We honour those who served before us, those who fell in defence of our homeland, and those who continue this work in silence and dedication.

My fellow comrades,

Our liberation journey is like a long, dangerous trip in a crowded vehicle, struggling through deep mud on the road to Wum.

This vehicle is our liberation movement.
It carries all of us — every Ambazonian — toward our collective destination: Buea, where true freedom awaits.

The driver of this vehicle is our President.
He sees the path ahead.
He feels when the wheels slip.
He knows when to accelerate and when to slow down. That is why he must guide strategy.

The motorboys in this vehicle are the members of government and leadership. They support the driver, coordinate the passengers, and help solve problems along the journey.

The passengers are the people of Ambazonia — at home and abroad.
We are all in this together.
We all want the same destination.

But the road we are on is harsh and muddy — this is the genocidal war La République unleashed on our people.
Progress is slow.
Conditions are difficult.
There is suffering along the way.
There are setbacks and mistakes.

On such a road, one cannot wear a white suit and complain about the mud every five minutes.
This is not a luxury trip — it is survival.
It is strategy.
It is endurance.

Even rights and freedoms, as important as they are, cannot be enjoyed fully in the middle of the mud. They are not denied — they are delayed, until we reach safer ground.

During this journey, we will disagree sometimes.
People will get frustrated. Some may even be misled, confused, or “drunk” with outside influence and fall behind.

We should encourage them, help them, invite them back in – but we cannot allow the whole vehicle to stop in the mud because of one careless passenger.

Unity is the force that frees the wheels.
Teamwork is the strength that pushes us forward. Complaining about the mud does not move the vehicle. Strategic action does.

And when we finally reach Wum — which for us is Buea — that is when everyone will wash, dress, regroup, and enjoy the full freedoms that belong to a free people.

For now, we are navigating mud and danger together. And we will reach Buea — not by complaining in the mud, but by pushing together until the vehicle moves.

Brothers and sisters of Mezam,

This is the time for unity.
This is the time for responsibility.
This is the time for discipline.
This is the time for collective resolve.

We will push.
We will endure.
We will persevere.

And we will arrive.

May God bless Mezam,
and may God save Ambazonia.

Steve Neba-Fuh
Vice President, Government of Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia) in Exile
