Letters to the Editor

A patriot from home front, writes to the Independentist News editorial desk, raising some clarifications on the article on why Sisikou Julius Ayuk Tabe declared the Independence of Ambazonia

Dear editor,

I write here to appreciate the efforts and quality of journalism you of The Independentist News are putting up, and to note that, Sisiku Julius AyukTabe was never at any point in time the Chairman of SCACUF as SCACUF never had a chairperson.

The highest office in SCACUF was the Secretary General and that position was held by Pa Tassang Wilfred. That made him the leader of the struggle, albeit only for about four months.

Julius AyukTabe was named Chairman of the Governing Council of SCACUF, a new creation and office, at the 3rd Conclave and Pa TASSANG was his assistant.

Sisiku Julius AyukTabe transformed the Governing Council of SCACUF into the government (Interim Government) at the 4th Conclave and became President and Pa Tassang became his deputy, a position he later turned down.

The Restoration Council upgraded the Interim Government into the government of the Federal Republic of Southern Cameroons Ambazonia under Samuel Ikome Sako….

It is good that we always get the evolution of the struggle and its institutions right.
